There are few shops in the city, you have to walk a lot, there are few restaurants and they are expensive. The beach is clean, the beach is stony, not sandy. The old town is pleasant, with many bars and cafes.

Zadar is a beautiful historic city with a lovely old town, seaside promenade, and unique attractions like the sea organ. Getting around is easy on foot. I enjoyed the local seafood and wine. The only downside was the crowds during peak tourist season, so I'd recommend visiting in the shoulder seasons.

Lovely Old Town, pretty and packed with history.
Lovely Old Town, pretty and packed with history. Beautiful location, even more so in the evening/night. Easy and inexpensive to visit islands and nearby towns using local ferries and buses. Friendly people. Excellent, plentiful and well-priced restaurants and bars. Favourites were Dalmatina (fish/seafood), L'Osteria (seafood), Pizzeria Tri Bunara (worth the queue), Coffee & Cake (breakfast) and Konoba Tovar (goulash). Fave bars include The Trooper Bar (beer/metal), Deja Brew (beer) and Zlatni Kutic (people watching). Cheap, plentiful, quality seafood, bakery produce and fruit & veg from the market. Visited the usual spots including monastery and museums. Particularly enjoyed the vista from the Bell Tower, compact old town and narrow streets, city views and vibe, "green" market, Sea Organ, harbour area, park, eating and drinking, and people-watching.AndrewUnited Kingdom

To the location of the building,to the size of the apartment,the view. Was so clean. So spacious. The sheets were so clean. Was so quiet. The parking for our motorcycle was safe. Even for cars. Zadar is a must to see. Ypu can ask the lady where to eat forsomegood advices. I strongly suggest and I give 5 stars. Our host made us feel right at home as soon as we got to the hotel and helped us book some really nice days out to plitvice lakes and a boat trip from zadar. Rooms where spotless and had good facilities. Pool area was spotless as well had a really nice relaxing vibe. Location was good with a few bars and shops near by and only a 20-25 min walk to the old town. Would definitely stay again at guest house Dragic!

With all the restaurants and shops just downstairs. Big size studio and has AC and kitchen. It was comfortable for me to get changed and move around the old town and get to thr hotel. There was not that noise as i read on other comments, i just closed both windows and slept.
