New hotel, very well designed. The rooftop bar has nice views and vibe in the evenings. Location is across the ferry wharf, so easy to go to Moorea for a day trip. Also right in town and walking distance to good restaurants and shops.
Hotel Sarah Nui offers free WiFi and is just 5 minutes’ walk from Papeete Ferry Terminal. All accommodation includes a flat-screen TV. Guests can organise a helicopter or a fishing tour with the...
Royal Tahitien is located on Tahiti’s eastern coast, along the lovely lagoon which faces the Island of Moorea.

The nicest thing about this property is the hotel restaurant, which is open air with a lovely view of the ocean. Also enjoyed the great food there.
We also appreciated that there was a staff member present at 5.30am (despite reception not opening until 6.30am) to make sure we caught our taxi to the airport.
Offering a sun terrace and views of the garden, Fare D'hôtes Tutehau is situated in the Farii piti neighborhood. It is 15 minutes' walk from the heart of Papeete.

We needed a day room and this was inexpensive and very good.

Convenient location. Clean and tidy apartment. Well equipped
N'JOK Papeete, a property with a terrace, is situated in Papeete, 3.2 km from Paofai Gardens, 15 km from Museum of Tahiti, as well as 15 km from Point Venus.
This is a functioning port city. There are a few places where you can sit by the sea and watch the ships and boats but mainly facilities are across the very busy road.
People enjoy the large market but the town itself is hot, busy and dirty. At night there are many rough sleepers.
This is not a pretty colonial style town. The best bet is to take a ferry to the islands asap.

The town of Papeete is very nice and the people are very friendly and welcoming. Had it not been for our unacceptable accommodations, we would have loved our stay in Papeete. If you go, be sure to stay at a reputable hotel and avoid private Air B&B places. We ended up staying at a dump and no hotel rooms were available because of a cruise that was leaving the next day.

Papeete at first glance could be a nice place to stay.
Papeete at first glance could be a nice place to stay. Warm weather, good food and drinks. Seafront promenade is just gorgeous. But a lot of homeless people and dogs are as decay for the city. Well, some of the US cities like Phili are the same...

The French influence in Tahiti is everywhere and I loved it.
The French influence in Tahiti is everywhere and I loved it. Food is amazing, I had great meals out and the Carrefour supermarkets are better stocked than my local supermarkets here in the UK. I just liked the vibe. There are lots of places to eat and drink, decent shopping to be had and I liked the people. The port where you can catch boats to other islands is in town too!

I enjoyed the Markets the most and the street stalls.
I enjoyed the Markets the most and the street stalls.
I loved the fresh pastries - especially the bread sticks
I found finding a place in town was better for us, as the cost for taxi's was very pricey.
I would avoid staying out in the suburbs and ensure to have an offline currency converter handy as there were times i got caught off guard and ended paying double the amount I intended.

Little to do in the city aside from shopping.
Little to do in the city aside from shopping. That all stops on Sundays entirely, and largely disappears on Saturday afternoons too. Public transport is almost impossible, not helped by the website or the tourism office. There are no beaches walkable from the city centre, so you're left needing to find a tour, a public bus (not on sundays though), or renting a car/scooter.
Spacious property on the hill just outside Papeete centre. Great for family stay with space to cook and chill as well as off street parking. 10 min drive into the the city with all the facilities you would need and only 15-20 mins to the airport. A car is recommended to make the most of your trip to Papeete.
Wendy was an amazing host very supportive and easily accessible, she went above and beyond to help us and ensure our trip was spectacular. Cannot recommend her enough.
This is a perfect spot for a stay in Papeete! The kitchen allows you to cook your own meals, and there is a great supermarket about two blocks down the street. It is also an easy walk into downtown. There were many thoughtful touches in the apartment that made my stay extra comfortable. The balcony has amazing views of the city and Moorea in the distance! This was an awesome place to stay in to get more of a local or real feel for life in Tahiti.
One of the best experiences I've had staying at a booking.com lodge. Myrna, the host was an exceptional communicator, everything was timely, professional, and clear. The apartment itself was perfectly decorated, organized, and had a beautiful view of Papeete from the balcony. Additionally, Myrna also provided helpful information about island events going on that we checked out and loved. Highly recommend this place for future stays.
Great location in Papeete near the port and within a short walking distance to restaurants and other attractions!
Nils from from desk was super helpful and gave great recommendations for tours and anything to make your stay in Tahiti and Papeete even more memorable!
Don’t be shy to ask him!
Plus Kon Tiki is a great value for your money and has something for everyone!
Plus the breakfast is worth trying with great omelettes!
Tahiti was last stop on our trip. Hotel is located short taxi ride from the airport, close to the main centre and really nice promenade.Has a good bus connection but also you can walk to the centre. There is a shopping centre next to it. The hotel has really nice pool area. No access to the beach. Great offer of different trips. The concierge team was really helpful. The rooms are large and clean. Modern design.
Carlos picked us up from the airport despite our plane getting in after 1-30am.
He delivered us to the apartments and provided a good explanation.
Also dropped us to and picked us up from our cruise ship and finally he dropped us out to the airport when we left Papeete.
There is an Ezy Market shop with a good range of packaged food and pre=prepare meals, alcohol, drinks etc within 400m.
The huge room was completely new with luxury and stylish furniture, amazing ocean view, and the most advanced and sophisticated hot-tub in the room that I ever saw.
The restaurant was excellent as well as the Tahitian show.
Some nice shops with friendly and welcoming staff.
The best was the black sand beach, so soft with warm, quiet, and transparent sea, and lovely palm trees.
It was located near everything in downtown of Papeete. Just few minutes from port.
Price was better than other hotel so I rent a room for 2 nights but I checked out before over night flight. I have kids so it was good idea that I rent 2 nights. Before flight, we can take a shower.
Room was clean but it is better to close your luggage...
Very spacious bedroom and bath for the four of us. Super clean and very friendly hosts. Great location in the center of Papeete close to restaurants, super market, waterfront, ferry terminal. All within 5-10 minute walk. Despite the central location it is very quiet except for the occasional rooster which you will hear everywhere in Tahiti.
The owner was really nice! She kindly booked a taxi to the airport for me and prepared breakfast in early morning. The bed room and common area looked lovely. Even though the property is not close to water, just staying in this Tahitian room would be valuable. You need to pay on site but you can use credit cards.
It’s a outdated hotel. Didn’t change anything since the fifties, only the personnel. It’s a good place to stay just before you take your international flight back home (though on the other end of Papeete).
Expected to bump into Marylin Monroe 😉. But the rooms are very spacious and clean.
Liked the locality to markets shops ferry &
Having a car park easy walking distance to everything
The place was very clean & had everything you needed Great communication with owner
This place is so central 9 mins from airport
Great place to stay if you are in Papeete
The breakfast was excellent. The choices were plentiful and tasty. The hotel is perfectly located to downtown Papeete and an excellent "close to the airport" hotel. We had dinner at a local family type restaurant, La Raina, that was an excellent value.
Very new and clean hotel. Super comfy beds and facilities. Had dinner in the restaurant which was nice and the staff were super friendly. About 15 mins from the airport so worked well for a 1 night stay in between flights.
Very nice hotel located in downtown Papeete across from ferry terminal. Hip and modern and eco friendly. Staff was friendly and helpful. convenient to waterfront, shopping, the market, bars and restaurants.
The location is close to the ferry, nightly food trucks, market, ATMs, and the tourist sights of Papeete. It's a cheap place to stay in an otherwise expensive location.
Good location very close to Papeete shopping centre and the ferry to Moorea. A/c in the bedroom and the living room.
Balcony with a view over the city rooftops.
Hotel is well located and quaint. Provides many areas for comfortable outside seating. There is a free shuttle provided to the airport or ferry terminal.
