New, modern, clean, convenient, good service, complimentary transfer from port to hotel and airport. They upgraded us to a suite with private heated pool. We enjoyed our stay very much. Nico who checked us in is very efficient and courteous. Senos is very experienced and gave us clear information. Young driver Johnie pointed out the places we passed by along the way which not every driver will do.

Perfect place to relax and have a good holiday. Our suit was amazing with all the facilities. View from our balcony was fantastic. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Specially Greg. Platis Yialos is a very nice beach.
Platis Yialos is a very nice beach. There is a charge for the use of the sunbeds which is quite expensive. There is a good beach bar called Yialo Yialo. They serve good food and the staff are very nice in there. Do not go to the DK Oyster bar, this is the bar with the black umbrella's outside on the beach. They have a terrible reputation for ripping people off, sometimes for 100's of Euros. This happened to me a number of years ago and happened to another resident in our hotel this year. She was charged 500 Euros for not very many drinks and something to eat!

The beach is well organised, with many restaurant options. There’s a 5 stars hotel, with a beach bar called Branco, which was really good. I’d say that 85% of the beach is covered by the sun beds for rental. The remaining part is public, so people can lay down on the sand on their own towels. The water is beautiful, clean, and transparent. However, a bit cold in October.

You did however have to be early to get a good spot the sunbed, and if you wanted something quieter the use of the pools at their sister hotel across the street. The property is also located near a fabulous restaurant (Nikos Gallop), a convenient store, bus stop, and within walking distance to the boat taxi and a couple of beach clubs too!
