It was right next to the lake ferry giving easy access to other parts of the lake. Vouchers were given for the car park very close by.
there was a great path, one mile long leading to Newby Bridge, where we sat outside by the river with a relaxing drink.

A pleasantly situated hotel on the river.
A pleasantly situated hotel on the river. Our room was large and overall comfy, with a great bed. However, we found the hotel overpriced particularly foodwise which we felt was of standard quality. We had numerous negative feelings and left a day earlier. The hotel did refund a days stay which was good of them. My husband and I have much experience of hotels, Food service, customer service and felt this hotel could be so much better if they revert to first class service. I would not choose to stay there again, sadly.

The only negative was that the lakeside allowed Dogs in the hotel. I love dogs but think when you go to an expensive hotel you don’t need dogs staying in the bedrooms.
The Huntsman pub was very good for food.
While we were eating our meal there were 3 dogs running around the pub and not under control.
This was bad owners not bad dogs.
Beautiful location
Nice cosy B&B 20 min drive from Bowness-on-Windemere. The room was warm, which was a relief after getting wet during the day. Small bathroom but fine for a weekend. There is only a big overhead shower, no handheld one (personal preference). Colin was super nice and we were able to change our BF time to early morning so we could make the most of the day. He offers a good choice for BF with various cereals, musli, fruit, toast and English BF. Parking is easy on the property. I'd stay again.
Dinner at the hotel was lovely as the dining room looks out towards the river. Fresh white linen tablecloths and knapkins. Although the menu was compact everything I ate tasted delicious on the two nights I was there. There were specials each night, very copious portions. Helpful friendly service. The rooms had comfy beds and nice bedlinen, lovely white fluffy towels in the refurbished bathrooms. Mine had a jacuzzi bath which was brilliant for relaxing.
Very modern, clean and comfortable. Very spacious and every thing required. Plenty of coat hangers in the wardrobes, very comfortable beds!! Lovely luxury bath sheets and hand towels. Kitchen/living area spacious and all kitchen items required for self catering. Laundry facilities great too!
Location is very good for visiting all towns nearby.
Rusland Pool pub/hotel has a great menu and Large petrol station nearby has supermarket and Costa!
Only staff who were a bit helpful were the staff in the restaurant..it felt like the staff didn't have time to help anyone or guide you to anywhere..we booked into the spa and there was no water station for drinking and I asked if there was any water to drink and she brought out water in a glass jug from the tap in a sink..I wasn't impressed with this full hotel..
the swan hotel and spa was modern nice decor and stylish.. clean throughout the hotel and spa. the spa was very relaxing and well worth the money. the staff where warm and welcoming soon as we step foot in the hotel. highly recommended the food for an evening meal portion sizes were good the quality food was excellent and the restaurant/bar has a great atmosphere.
lovely location, staff were very welcoming, my lady who did my spa treatments was so friendly we had a lovely chat while getting pampered. food was really excellent and great value. breakfast was amazing and ontop of everything the place was totally dog friendly and staff were so accommodating. won’t be our last visit can’t wait to visit in the summer!
Lovely hotel, stayed before and definitely met our expectations again. Breakfast is amazing and the staff were fab, particularly the lady who sorted out the issues where I had been charged twice (however this was a fault of Booking.com as far as we could tell). Highly recommend Newby Bridge :)
Everything was perfect! From the very friendly welcome on arrival to the lovely hotel decor & facilities. The food was delicious too (both breakfast & dinner). It was great to have access to a swimming pool. We also liked the friendly peacock in the hotel grounds & the views over the lake.
Location was fantastic, the river and the train line going past, and nice and close to Windermere. The price for breakfast included was amazing. Also inclusion of the spa and pool was great, it's lovely to see an old building still being used.

A beautiful riverside hotel, with a great spa. Nice breakfast and very helpful staff. Easy to park.
The staff in the spa were fantastic and provided wonderful treatments.
We paid for superior room.
Often that is a slightly bigger room.
