Quaint and cozy cottage in the Irish countryside. It was nice to be able to shop for food and cook our own meals. Definitely gave us a more authentic experience than the city hotel we stayed in on the first leg of our trip. The hosts were incredibly helpful, especially for us Americans traveling abroad for the first time with lots of silly little questions.

Situated in Castletownbere and only 8.1 km from Dunboy Castle, Wild Wild West Holiday Cottages features accommodation with garden views, free WiFi and free private parking. There is a private entrance at the holiday home for the convenience of those who stay. The holiday home has family rooms. Beautifully appointed, elegant cottage. Spacious and a charm to simply relax in. Steph and Chris welcomed us with eggs, honey, jam and bread, and we couldn't have asked for more. Steph came over later with the soaps I wanted, and two bottles of honey. As I mentioned to Steph, our trip to this corner of the Beara peninsula was going to turn into a fiasco, but finding Wild Wild West at nearly the last minute turned that around big time! Sunrises were spectacular, and on our first night we got a fabulous night sky, for which thank you Steph and Chris!
