Simple things like condiments, bathroom basics and logs for the fire - all really useful things. We liked the isolated location and the log fire as well. It's basically a studio bungalow, for want of a better description - so perfect for a couple.

The property is central to Castlepollard and has all amenities nearby. The house was equipped with all electrics and was very clean. The hosts were very friendly when in contact and there was tea, coffee and food left out——it was very hospitable. I would highly recommend it.

The cottage is over 200 years old and is located on a small farm with lots of animals. The hostess was amazing. She was very knowledgeable, friendly, helpful, interesting and all around awesome. She went above and beyond to make sure our stay was wonderful. I was able to bottle feed a lamb and we collected fresh eggs from the hens for breakfast. We enjoyed the cottage and estate so much, we cancelled some of our plans to chill at the cottage. We hope to return in the future with extended family and rent both cottages.

The hosts were amazing and my son loved the chickens. The facilities were great and it was close to other areas of interest. It was easy to take a walk or go for a day trip out.
