Howler monkeys and plenty of birds made every morning memorable. I have never seen such detail and thought go into the decor and feel of each room. We felt at home here and will be back.

You have a private riverside seating area as well with the option to swim. Two cute dogs will welcome you in the morning and when you return from a tour or dinner. Ant it comes with lots of extras: strong wifi, washing machine and dryer, super comfy towels, a hammock, many kitchen devices. The owner is friendly and quick in responding, there is the option to book tours, and Albert, the caretaker of the house, is very friendly and helpful. If you are in this region and the cabine is available, book it!

The location was perfect, like an oasis in the jungle, the pool was fantastic and the room was very tastefully decorated with everything we could need.

La Rana está ubicado en San Ignacio, a 17 minutos a pie de Cahal Pech y 17 km de El Pilar, en una zona donde se puede practicar ciclismo. The pool was such a treat. Everyday after exploring it was to come back and take a dip. Quiet neighborhood, close to lots of great things. Definitely recommend having a car rental. It is walking distance to town but it’s on a hill.
