United StatesWe had an incredible stay at this lovely place hosted by Alicia and Jose in Puerto San Carlos, Baja, Mexico. This small fishing village is a peaceful, charming, and truly enchanting place. While tourism has started to develop here, it still retains its quiet and authentic charm, making it a perfect getaway.
The Airbnb is beautifully located along the Pacific coast, and we stayed in a second-floor studio suite. From the large terrace, we enjoyed breathtaking, unobstructed views of the Pacific sunset while listening to the soothing sounds of the ocean breeze and waves. In the morning, we were greeted by countless seabirds, adding to the serene atmosphere. The accommodation itself was excellent—spotlessly clean, comfortable, and well-maintained.
We also took part in the daily tours offered by our hosts, which made our stay even more unforgettable. One day, we went on a fishing and seafari trip with Captain Jesus, where we witnessed a humpback whale breaching less than 30 meters from our boat! We also caught plenty of fish and had the chance to enjoy fresh sashimi right on the boat. Another day, we went on a dedicated whale-watching tour to see gray whales. It was an absolutely mesmerizing experience—we saw so many of these magnificent creatures up close and even had the chance to touch them, which was truly exhilarating.
Staying at this wonderful place was one of the highlights of our entire Baja trip. We will definitely return to this beautiful destination in the future!
