For us, it was a unique opportunity to experience a truly authentic stay in the middle of an old olive tree plantation. The accommodation oozes rustic charm while remaining very comfortable (with AC), and the owners have thought of every detail — the place is extremely well equipped. Privacy was excellent we had the whole property for ourselves), and being surrounded by Cretan nature really helped us unwind and relax. Communication with the owners was great, and they kindly welcomed us with a bottle of wine and fresh fruit.

Beautiful decor, so clean and tidy. Lots of thoughtful touches to make our stay lovely. Lovely swimming pool and outdoor area, attention to detail is so appreciated. The BBQ is great. Having two bathrooms is so lovely and fresh towels after 2 days was a treat.

We wish we could stay forever at this amazing house! The garden was filled with olive trees, there was an old well and two diferent areas to seat for dinner and breakfast or just to relax. Inside beds, sofas, kitchen items... were new. Nektarios was always accessible, he sent us many local restaurants, beaches and places to visit. He even sent info of a concert at the village which we enjoyed. Perfect house to escape from crowds whilst being well located to explore the west and center parts of Crete.

A very nicely reconstructed traditional house. Spacious, clean and equipped with everything needed for solo travelers who don't like all inclusive. Beautiful view from the terrace of Mount Kástro (we were at the top). Fres is a quiet and peaceful mountain village. Church bells and sheep bells completed the romantic atmosphere that we love so much.

A Greek holiday paradise in the middle of nature! We spent wonderful holidays as a family in the stone villa! From the first moment we felt very comfortable in this beautiful, recently built house. The owners are super nice and welcomed us very hospitably. If you have any questions, they can be reached at any time by phone or What's App. The house is super equipped with anything you need during your holidays and around the property there are several seating areas that invite you to "be", read, relax or take a yoga session at any time of the day. The house is surrounded by olive groves/plantations and a few meters below the terrace side there is a small flock of sheep which is totally cute and some of them can be seen from afar. The interior is modern and decorative! Beautiful furnishings chosen by the homeowner with great attention to detail. It has everything you need, even makeup stations (highlight :-)! The living and dining room are very comfortable. The kitchen is ultra-modern, you will find various household appliances. We love to cook, it's a passion of ours so we found lots of utensils and felt right at home! Toaster, sandwich maker, Italian coffee maker, oven, microwave, etc! There is a large BBQ on one of the terraces, so you can enjoy a delicious dinner of fresh and local fish and vegetables outside at the large table with a fantastic view! We enjoyed the quiet area around us and the beautiful nature as well as the nearby taverns, beautiful beaches and some sights. We can definitely recommend the villa - whether as a couple or as a family! Everyone would feel "at home" in this idyllic paradise :-)

Everyone should visit villa archontiko! The villa is for 8 people, in exchellent condition, with a traditional touch and detailed oriented. The views are breathtaking and the location is in a small local village Asfakiou near Sfakia. Also the host welcome us with a big smile!!

Beautiful accommodation, plenty of space, even for several families, great cosy furnishings, a private outdoor pool in a beautiful garden. Everything is handed over in a clean condition and warm preparation and welcome by the very friendly owner Nektaria with fresh pastries and a welcome drink. The villa is located in a small idyllic village with beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. There are several tavernas that invite you to go out in the evening. The sea is easily accessible by car. We enjoyed our time very much and would like to thank Nektaria for the wonderful time we had in this marvellous villa.

    Family of 5, kids 10, 13 and 16. We all really enjoyed out stay at this beautifully restored villa. The villa is secluded with a lovely pool with gorgeous mountain views. It was very clean and had all that was needed. A real oasis of tranquillity to disconnect and recharge. Villa was cleaned half way through the week. Excellent host, super helpful. The host very kindly left us some food, as our flight was very late at night and also dropped a few things mid week when the cleaner came.

    We had a very pleasant stay at villa Kontis. The house was clean and cosy, warm and it had everything. The outside views were really nice and the view of the sunset breathtaking. Close to the ocean and Lake Kournas, but also very peaceful. Our hosts were very helpful and always standby if we needed them. The animals were a very nice plus for our little children. VERY MUCH RECOMMENDED

    We had two wonderful weeks in Stefanos nice house with pool and garden. We felt very comfortable in Villa Aloni, it is tastfully furnished in greek style, an we loved the pool and the large garden with oleanders and olive, lemon and pomegranate trees. It is all very child friendly. The stay here is highly recommended! Dorit
