Great hotel in Matsushima, loved my stay there! I arrived a little bit earlier than expected and the team helped me doing an early check-in. Room was spacious and very comfortable. Location is great too: it's a short walking distance to the city centre and also close to the Matsushima and Takagimachi JR stations. The hotel team was outstanding: the couple managing the ryokan are great and the rest of the team did a very very good job too. Very good value for money. Highly recommended!

Dormy Inn Aomori Natural Hot Spring está establecido en Aomori, a 6 km de Sannai-Maruyama site y a 43 km de Tsuta Hot Spring. This was our relax stop in the trip and we loved it! The interior was clean and not old fashioned. I loved the onsen and their massage chairs, and you can borrow manga if you'd like. The breakfast, a mixture of Japanese and Western, was delicious. In the evening they even serve noodles as a late-night snack.

Our room was nice, the futons comfy and they have baths that are open around the clock. They even provide vegan options for food and the food was so good. I really hope to be able to come back in the future. Strongly recommend coming here, especially if you want vegetarian of vegan food. That is quite uncommon to find in a ryokan. In general the atmosphere of this place is awesome. The dining room was especially lovely decorated.

Ubicado a 8 minutos a pie de Zao Onsen, Petit Resort Hotel Der Barte ofrece hospedaje de 3 estrellas en Zao Onsen y cuenta con un jardín, un restaurante y un bar. Fantastic location, right on Uwanodai slope - actual ski-in ski-out. Host was extremely friendly and helpful, the food in the restaurant was great and good value. Nice draught beer! Shower in room with a shared hot bath that could be booked for free. There's a ski/boot room in the basement that opens onto the slope. The decor is a bit dated but in a very charming way.

All the staff are so friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable. The twin beds are firm and the bedding was nice and warm for winter. The bathroom in the room is compact and functional, and there was the option of the private bath downstairs. The food was outstanding- the taste and presentation was incredible! Be prepared for a full stomach as everything was delicious! The breakfast rice bowl (plus the other dishes) was the best way to start the day, and coming back in the evenings for a home cooked meal was very relaxing and special. I hope to come back one day.
