The owner of the accommodation was very nice and could communicate with guests through translation software. In addition, the owner’s cooking skills were very good. We enjoyed rich and delicious breakfast and dinner. Highly recommended this accommodation to everyone.

Private parking is available on site. One of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. The room and common areas were very pleasant. I had a very relaxing time at this hotel. The location is ideal, in downtown Aomori. The staff is attentive and answered my questions kindly. If I have the opportunity to return to Aomori, I will definitely stay at this hotel again!

Amazing ryokan experience in a winter wonderland! Ranko-san was an amazing host who cared for our every needs. She even lent as snow boots for our winter hikes when she saw that our shoes was unsuitable for the snow. She was friendly and spoke English well. The rooms was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The onsen was big and well maintained. The breakfast and dinner was better than any restaurant we could find in hirosaki! Will definitely be back again :)

I felt so welcomed and at home, - reminded me of when I used to visit my grandparents as a child.

We had an incredible stay here: the ryokan is impressive (especially the arrival with the person playing the shamisen), very beautiful, the food excellent and adaptable (we took vegetarian meals), the establishment is child-friendly (e.g. yukata at their sizes, arrival kits, high chairs and adapted cutlery), the room is magnificent and very suitable for a family. A bookable shuttle service is in place and works very well, allowing us to leave and arrive from Aizu Wakamatsu station. We also reserved the outdoor bath for private use: incredible! The staff is adorable and helpful: thank you very much!

It offers free Wi-Fi throughout the propert and free parking is on-site. Absolutely incredible place to experience traditional ryokan-style stay. The staff were over-the-top, never before seen kind, patient, welcoming to us, while being professional and flexible. The place is beautiful and well equipped to keep us warm on the chilly Aizu nights, and the breakfast was culinary masterpiece. The staff were even kind enough to make us takeaway onigiri from the rice we couldnt finish. Overall an amazing experience, I recommend anyone to come here, and I thank all the kind staff for their lovely hospitality, cant wait to come back!

Set 500 metres from Zao Onsen Ski Resort, Pension Puutaro offers 3-star accommodation in Zao Onsen and features a garden. The staff at Pension Puutaro were incredibly friendly and attentive, going above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. Highly recommend for their exceptional hospitality!
