The area is popular for hiking, and bike hire is available at this 3-star ryokan. Excellent breakfast & dinner. Staff was very kind, we were treated like kings & queens. Private onsens in the hotel are excellent. The owner of the hotel came to our room to wish us a happy stay, I was quite impressed.

Dinner and breakfast were huge, even too much, it's a shame to waste so much food. Transport to the center and stations on request. The staff was so polite that it almost made me feel stupid (women carried our suitcases for us). I highly recommend staying at this property.

The room is spacious and comfortable. The staff are friendly and attentive. The dining experience has also been wonderful. We are happy for experiencing the essence of Japanese hospitality at Yamamotoya.
