I could afford it, and usually rooms I can afford aren’t half so well appointed. If I could give 100 stars I would.

There is a supermarket close by, pharmacy, coffee house, restaurants. The bus stop is just 3 mins away.

I had the feeling that they're trusted to make decisions and find solutions themselves to guests' enquiries, rather than having to refer to someone more senior. I found that really quite uplifting and in stark contrast to many of the larger hotels I stay in. I encountered 4 or 5 different members of front of house staff during my stay and each one was a delight. The room was very comfortable, and clean, with a lovely garden view. Lovely lounge where you can read a book or engage in conversation with some of the other guests. Location couldn't have been better, for this single traveller with early morning and late night meetings and apointments. I'd happily recommend this to anyone needing a central base in Dublin for a few nights.
