The hotel was modern and had all the facilities to accommodate foreign travellers. The atmosphere was so welcoming and the service was exceptional. Communication from the time of booking and the special request I made was catered for and quick communication from the hotel which was the wow factor. The breakfast had a nice variety and freshly made omelette with a choice of ingredients. The staff were brilliant, always smiling and always want to make sure you have a great stay whilst in their care. I highly recommend the pick up and the drop off service to the airport or port which is very reasonably priced and hassle free. The big bonus for me was everyone spoke good English which made life easy when communicating your needs. I would also like to say a BIG THANK YOU to Joan on reception who had a very cute and lovely smile when you interacted with her. She also very kindly help book our onward journey to the next island I visited because the host at the resort I wanted to go to did not speak English. Joan made all the arrangements and again with a smile. Not only Joan but all the staff went the extra mile to make sure my stay at the City Hotel was pleasant. Thank you very much for your hospitality and I can see why this hotel is so popular with guest (local and foreign)

It's located in a great location and lots of restaurants are in easy reach. Staff was really friendly too. Breakfast was also good and plentiful. Would certainly stay in the same place again! It took 30min in a taxi to reach the airport.

Located in Ambon, less than 1 km from Liliboi Beach, RedDoorz Plus @ Tirta Kencana Hotel provides accommodation with a restaurant, free private parking and a bar. With free WiFi, this 3-star hotel offers a 24-hour front desk. We stayed for over a month to have a break from our yacht. Our family hired two deluxe rooms. We anchored out the front and kept our dinghy safe right in front of the restaurant. This is a great place to stay. Our rooms had a balcony and ocean view. The staff are amazing and will do absolutely anything to help. They are really lovely people. The restaurant is great. Nice food, big servings, beer, some western dishes like crisp fries and steak, the price is good and it's a perfect place to hang out right next to the ocean. This is a budget place so don't expect The Intercontinental but it's incredible value for money which is important to us. Normally we could never dream of our whole family staying in a hotel for weeks like this. Our rooms had good air conditioning, a fridge, the staff gave us a kettle, big comfy beds, and our own bathroom of course. I would highly recommend this place to sailors who want to get off their boat or have a good meal, and anyone who would like a nice, peaceful and comfortable place with a good view next to the ocean. It's not far to the town and certainly a much more peaceful area.
