Hiking, biking, fishing, shooting and cycling can all be enjoyed in the local area. A golf club can also be found within a 15-minute walk of the hotel, and Edinburgh city centre can be reached in less than an hour by car. From the moment we got there, we were made to feel very welcome. Very positive energy and environment. Lovely place to stop even for just a night. Had some lovely conversations with the owners, was lovely to get to know their story a little as well:)

The Loch Ness Inn is located in the village of Lewiston, near the Great Glen Way. It offers rooms with free WiFi and free parking. The property is 0.7 miles from Drumnadrochit and 1.5 miles from Urquhart Castle. We stayed one night but we enjoyed it. The location es great, you can go for a walk around the forest. The restaurant is very good

The Hotel Ceilidh-Donia is in a quiet residential area, just off Dalkeith Road, a major route into Edinburgh. Edinburgh Waverley Rail Station, Edinburgh Castle and the shops of Princes Street are within a 15-minute bus ride. This hotel is a true find. It had a lovely, friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The owners could not have been more helpful.

We arrived late at the hotel, but we were strongly welcomed by the hospitality team. The room was very quiet and comfortable, especially the bed and the chair - I had so restful sleep for two nights. The full water and milk bottles gave us a feeling of abundance. The breakfast was very delicious and big - even for a small breakfast! It's absolutely a delightful experience for both of us. All guest rooms in the hotel are equipped with a flat-screen TV. With a private bathroom fitted with a shower and a hairdryer, rooms at Lochaline Hotel also feature free WiFi, while selected rooms also feature a sea view. A splendid little place by the water with a great view, hostess was absolutely lovely and made us feel like home right off the bat, room had everything you'd expect, nice dinner choices (made to order), breakfast was delicious (partly buffet, partly made to order).

Boasting a terrace and views of mountain, The Osprey Hotel is a guest house set in a historic building in Kingussie, 1.1 km from Kingussie Golf Club. This 3-star guest house offers full-day security and a concierge service. The guest house has family rooms. Des and Sinead are lovely hosts. It felt like staying with friends instead of staying in a hotel. The breakfast is absolutely fabulous. If we return to Scotland we are coming back here for sure.

The property is non-smoking and is set less than 1 km from Iona Abbey. The Hotel is owned and run by people from the Island Community. That's a wonderful thing because it means that the hotel is connected to the place in which it is situated and Iona is a very special place. The Staff are sound, the food was great and the location is wonderful. The three of us travelled by bicycle from Oban. We will be back for sure. Go raibh maith agaibh go léir.

Large, comfy room with exceptionally clean bathroom. Little fridge was great. All the little touches from water and snacks in the room to a FAN!! The fan was something I have never seen in our travels and greatly appreciate since I never sleep without one at home! Great stay!

At the guest house, rooms are fitted with a wardrobe, a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom. It’s well located less than a minute from the main street and loch. The room was an excellent size, breakfast and off road parking were great. Jim & Ele made us fresh coffee for our flasks.
