Before moving abroad, I grew up in this region (Wirral) and so was familiar with the surroundings. With Woodside Lodge as my base, I was able to explore on foot the lively village of Irby. I ventured further to the pretty village of Thurstaston and then along the Wirral Coastal Path to West Kirby. A short walk from Woodside Lodge there is a bus stop for frequent busses over to Liverpool city centre. The host of Woodside Lodge was very welcoming and helpful about local eateries and pubs. In fact, just about everyone I met and spoke to in and around Irby appeared cheerful and friendly. Overall, it felt very good to be "home" again! I will certainly try to stay at Woodside Lodge on my next visit.

The rooms and the hotel are so beautiful, all of them Beatles themed. Loved it. Everything so clean and excellent location!!

It features stylish rooms, free WiFi throughout and 24-hour dining with views over the River Mersey. Great location. Had 3 staff members, first two ladies were not too great, but the male staff were very friendly and helpfull.
