Edinburgh Waverley Rail Station, Edinburgh Castle and the shops of Princes Street are within a 15-minute bus ride. Hosts were super nice, friendly and accommodating. Loved home made breakfast every day, fresh and delicious. Neighbourhood is quiet and not too far from the city. The whole stay felt like home stay with family and friends rather than just a stay. Loved the whole experience and ambience.

It’s a beautiful two-floor place, recently renovated, warm, and very welcoming. The beds are incredibly comfortable with ultra-soft mattresses and toppers that made our sleep perfect. The kitchen is fantastic and fully equipped, ideal for making breakfast and meals. We also loved the board games provided, a really nice touch. The internet is lightning fast (80 Gbps!) and worked flawlessly even with more than 10 devices connected, plus there’s a smart TV for relaxing in the evening. Check-in was smooth and easy, and the whole apartment feels brand new. We truly enjoyed our stay here and highly recommend it — excellent quality, outstanding comfort, and great value for money.

Alba House Hotel has a quiet location less than 3.2 km from Edinburgh Waverley rail Station. A number of local buses run regularly from the stop outside the guest house. Brilliant stay, the host couldn't have been more friendly. She even borrowed us an umbrella for the rain, she gave us recommendations on where to go and what buses to catch. The room was perfect for what we needed, comfy beds and clean. The location is out of the city center but the bus stop is just outside which takes you straight into the center and very easy to use.

The staff were so kind and the beds were beyond comfortable!! Great location, a 5min walk to the train station (Haymarket) which also had buses taking you to the airport regularly.

We chose the windowless room as it was just a one night stay. It was tight space but definitely the right choice if you’re looking for good value for money on a one-or two-night stay. The hotel is great! They even celebrated the hotel’s birthday and invited us to a drink each.

St9ckbridge area is very nice for cafe, food, bar. Small independent shops and a park. I stayed in the small room on the road, room 6. Was fine.
