Set in Sierra Nevada National Park, Estrella de las Nieves offers fantastic views of the Barranco de Poqueira Gorge. It features an outdoor swimming pool and air-conditioned rooms with private balconies. Great breakfast, very clean room, friendly staff. Facilities are basic but the shower is very strong and has multiple heads. The swimming pool is a bonus but I didn't have time to use it during a two-night stay. It locates at the entrance of the village, very easy for parking.

I love this hotel, a combination of beautiful old Spanish style with contemporary art and paintings everywhere, each room is specially designed to highlight a Spanish poet or writer. Excellent reception, very warm, friendly and helpful. Very good location in the historic center.

All rooms at the Helios are bright and feature typical Mediterranean décor. They all come with air conditioning and a private bathroom, and most have a private balcony. We stayed at the hotel and loved everything about it – the cleanliness, the food, and the friendly staff. A wonderful experience!

Porcel Navas is in central Granada, 50 metres from Puerta del Carmen Square. It is a 5-minute walk from the Cathedral and Royal Chapel, and offers air-conditioned rooms with flat-screen satellite TV.

Sylvie, the receptionist, has been with the hotel for many years, speaks several languages, is exceptionally helpful, kind and happy to assist. Family members take care of the delicious, extensive and generous breakfast, held in the most delightful surroundings. The hotel is situated in an almost fully pedestrianised zone which is lively and entertaining, a very short walk from both the Royal Quarter and the river.
