The attention to detail in the dome was incredible - for example, including robes and hammocks for the guests. The grounds were beautiful! I so enjoyed watching the monkeys swinging from the treetops and hearing the waves in the distance from our deck. It is apparent that so much love and care went into creating this magical place!

The most special stay on our entire Costa Rica trip. The houses are built inside the stretch of a beautiful selva, with direct access to the pristine, unspoiled beach. We were surrounded by sounds and sightings of wildlife on our walks to and from the beach, and when enjoying our time at the house. The love, attention and effort that goes into the maintenance of this amazing place is truly incredible. Everything works perfectly, from showers to kitchen utilities and all other comforts. Marisol took great care of us and helped us to spot sloths, toucans and howler monkeys. One of our closest wildlife encounters on the trip also took place at Congo Bongo. Following Marisol’s recommendation, we had two dinners at the local restaurant Mista Cook, it was delicious. Muchas gracias, we will be back!

These Puerto Viejo El Nido Jungle Lodge bungalows are 200 metres from the Playa Chiquita and include access to an outdoor pool and free WiFi. Gandoca Manzanillo National Wildlife Refuge is 5.3 km away. The bungalow was pretty and spacious with a nice shower and a good kitchen if you like to cook as we do :) close to a lovely beach and the pool is great too. Breakfast options were good and plentiful. Would recommend!
