The location is perfect, just in the middle of the hill. The room has a direct view of the lake and the mountains. The breakfast was delicious. And all the personnel was super friendly and helpful.

El De Ville es un encantador hotel situado en una pintoresca localidad medieval con vistas panorámicas a la campiña de los alrededores. Super helpful and kind staff who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and supported with our every request. Check-in and out was super easy (in the restaurant - there's no front desk), we actually were able to check-out and pay online with a link they'd sent once we arrived. Clean and comfortable room (ours even had a mini-fridge) in beautiful historic hotel in fantastic location in the heart of Gruyeres village. 2 min walk to castle and museums. Restaurant looked (and smelled!) wonderful though we didn't have time to dine there. Would absolutely stay again! Merci beaucoup to the whole team!
