The front desk, Roberto was very helpful, booked us a taxi to get us from the airport and also was available late when we arrived. Check-in and check-out were fast and simple. My daughter and l stayed at the Lion hotel, 2 days before we flew back to London. It is a family run hotel and the hospitality was absolutely tremendous. The owner Mario, his 2 children and staff went above and beyond to make our stay a wonderful one . All were so friendly and attentive to our every need. The hotel is in a beautiful location, close to the airport, shopping mall, lovely scenic countryside and the sea directly opposite the hotel. We are at the hotels restaurant and the food was delicious, the included breakfast offers a wide variety. We swam in the pool which a good size and well maintained. One of the members of the staff Estella, was so accommodating and kind. I was given a lift to the airport by the owners son( excuse me l forgot your name ). We had the most heartfelt conversation regarding the quality of life in Calabria, we were both in agreement how we the simple things in life make you the happiest. He had the most wonderful outlook on life , that we had in common indeed. I hope you and Vicky had a well earned holiday in Stromboli .
