A pleasant surprise, the hotel looks a little tired from the roadside, but the second you get inside, everything is perfect. Lovely smiling welcoming host, room was large, comfortably and bright. Bonus of having a cooked meal at night as a little away from town, and the breakfast was fantastic. A brilliant stay and would highly recommend

Best location in a beautiful town right on the firth of Clyde. Easy to find from the ferry. Plenty of free parking a minutes walk away on the waterfront & easy walk to explore everything. My room was small but very clean and warm. Lovely staff. Beautiful views. Try Anselmo for a delicious fish&chips meal(try their haggis bites & black pudding-so good)

The staff were amazing. Fantastic service in the restaurant and the food was excellent. When we arrived we were upgraded to a family room because the room we had booked was over the bar and Scotland was playing rugby and they were concerned that it would be too noisy. Definitely will be back.

This pioneering young couple have taken on a massive job of returning this establishment to its former beauty. Room by massive room it’s being restored and it’s going to be amazing when they finish. We absolutely loved our stay here. Carpets, paint and the bathroom for room 9 are all almost new. The staff are all so friendly and made us feel so welcome. We enjoyed dinner in the bar and breakfast in the dining room.
