The Cabanas Te Maori is ideally located just a short walk from the stores and restaurants of the main street. It is fully equipped if you wish to cook your own meals. The owner, Patricia, goes the extra mile to care for all possible needs, from help with booking tours to advice about the island. We very much enjoyed our 8 nights at the Cabanas and hope to return another year.

I was very excited for my trip to Rapa Nui, as it had always been a lifetime dream. My stay at Atavai Hotel made it even more special—it honestly felt like visiting friends from the very first minute until the last. I was warmly welcomed at the airport by Antoine and his family with a beautiful flower lei, and they kindly drove me to the hotel. Antoine took the time to explain what to do on Rapa Nui while I was sipping my fresh juice and then showed me to my room. The room was simple but very nice. It had everything I needed—Wi-Fi, a TV, a fridge, a kettle with tea and coffee. It was very clean and comfortable. Once you step outside, you’re surrounded by beautiful tropical plants and trees—it truly feels like a little piece of heaven. I only managed to have breakfast once during my stay because I had early tours most mornings, but that one breakfast was fantastic with a fresh omelette, fruit salad, and more. On my departure day, Antoine even suggested I spend my time exploring the town, and he personally brought my luggage to the airport before my flight. How nice is that! Small gestures like this really made me feel at home.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Chez Hiva. It is conveniently located for the airport, and the Ahu Tahai moai and the main shopping area of Hanga Roa are both within easy walking distance. We rented the Maíka duplex apartment, which was spacious and comfortably furnished. Our check-in went smoothly and Lorena the host was very helpful throughout our stay. The property is gated, so feels safe, and there is ample roadside parking outside, which is handy if you have a rental car.

Only 300 metres from Pea Beach, Hotel Manavai Hanga Roa is located in the centre of downtown Hanga Roa. Free parking is provided and free WiFi in the common areas.

Fabulous staff. Wonderful location on one of the main streets. Rooms way back off the street. Lovely helpful staff. Pool, restaurant, sundeck, and outdoor undercover breakfast lounge. Excellent add on half day and full day trips of the island with a knowledgeable guide. Can be important to access all areas of the national park. Picked up and dropped off at the airport at no extra cost.

An outdoor swimming pool and bungalows surrounded by gardens can be enjoyed in Hanga Roa only a 5-minute drive from Mataveri International Airport.
