El The Sun Siyam Iru Fushi es un complejo de 21 hectáreas ubicado en el centro del atolón Noonu. The resort is absolutely stunning, just how you imagine a dreamy Maldives resort would be. We loved our beach villa. Waking up to the sound of the ocean and stepping straight onto the gorgeous beach with our sunbeds beckoning us to stay a while. It was a dream. And the staff were exceptional! To name just a few: Naveen our butler was the best, Jawad the front office manager, Vivek the chef at Taste of India, Monjil our favourite gold cart driver, Sathis the pancake wizard. Everyone was so kind.

It’s particularly important that the island itself is beautiful, unlike many other budget islands. The journey from Malé takes about 3 hours by boat, but it’s definitely worth it. There’s a large beach with truly white sand and crystal-clear turquoise water, surrounded by lush tropical vegetation. The hotel provides a private spot on the beach with loungers and umbrellas. We were practically alone on our part of the beach and rarely saw other guests. This island is perfect for snorkeling due to its abundance of coral reefs. Snorkeling gear (masks, snorkels, and fins) is available at the hotel. The staff is hospitable and caring, and the overall atmosphere is warm and homely despite the hotel’s modest size. Delicious breakfasts are included in the price, offering two types: a local breakfast featuring tuna and flatbreads, and a classic option with toast and sausages. Both breakfasts come with fried eggs, fresh fruit, and tea. Lunch can be purchased separately and is tasty and affordable. On our final day, the hotel surprised us with a complimentary candlelit dinner on the beach.
