We had an absolutely wonderful stay – it truly is a dream destination. Every detail has been carefully taken care of by the owners, reflecting their dedication. What stands out the most is how they’ve managed to combine a sense of luxury with a laid-back, natural ambiance. It never felt overdone, but perfectly integrated with the surrounding nature, creating a serene and inviting atmosphere. The staff, both in the restaurant and in maintaining the property, were outstanding – attentive, professional, discrete and always smiling. We really appreciated the exceptional attention to every aspect. A truly unforgettable stay.

Vegetarian, halal and vegan options can also be requested. We had our best stay so far at the Lagoon Gate Resort! We were warmly welcomed with some refreshing juice and cold towels and we had a tremendously spacious, well equipped and perfectly clean room. We really enjoyed the pool area and could even rent kayaks for free for a tour at the lagoon. The breakfast was delicious and we also booked a really good massage directly at the accommodation. Would definitely come back next time!

Breakfast was served very tasty and varied every day. Vitamin + , he made sure of that. We where there in low season and loved the tranquility and lack of people.

We loved the garden with all the palm trees and the pool area with a view of the lake where you can see many different birds. We also spotted monkeys in the trees. Highly recommend this hotel!

I can't say enough great things about this homestay! They arranged our transfer from Ella and arranged a morning and afternoon safari for us. We were greeted with a delicious cold coconut water, in the coconut. We chose the breakfast and dinner option which makes so much sense because the town is a bit of a walk and after a safari all day (4:30 am to 6:30 pm) it is great to have dinner at the homestay. Both dinners we had were excellent, I think the best food we've had in Sri Lanka! They also pack a breakfast to go on your safari day because of leaving so early. When you wake up they have coffee and bananas for you before leaving. Our room was a great size, ac and hot water worked well. The owners are very kind, friendly and even drove us to the bus stop, stayed with us and made sure we got on the right bus.
