Property is run by very welcoming and nice family. We were warmly greeted. Very good breakfast, but too much for us, and they changed it according to our wishes. Also they arranged for us jeep safari in Minerya national park (as per their advice due to elephant's path) and we saw a lot of those incredible animals. Special thanks to Ravi - family member who speaks very good English and advised us for many things.

We had a wonderful stay at Sweet Home Tourist Rest, Cooking Classes & Tours. The comfort level was top-notch — everything was clean, spacious, and thoughtfully arranged. We were pleasantly surprised to find that our room came with its own living room, making it feel like a full apartment rather than just a guest room. For a very reasonable price, we had a completely private space to ourselves, which we really appreciated. The location is also ideal — the area is peaceful and quiet, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. A special thanks to Nilukshan, who organized some truly extraordinary tours for us, including the Wilpattu safari, and visits to Anuradhapura and Mihintale. Each one was memorable and perfectly arranged, giving us deep insights into the history and beauty of the region. We also took part in a cooking class conducted by Malsha, which was another highlight of our stay. The class was hands-on, fun, and absolutely delicious — we learned a lot and enjoyed every moment. Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area — it’s more than just accommodation, it’s an experience!

Amazing cabin and pool and very friendly host. We enjoyed a home-cooked meal most of the nights we stayed which was amazing. Furthermore they arranged a nice safari for us.

We stayed in this lovely home for two nights and I think that this was my favourite stay in Sri Lanka. The hosts are fantastic people, friendly and helpful and always with a smile. The rooms are simple but have everything that you need and have a lovely terrace within the beautiful gardens. But best of all is the food. We had breakfast and dinner on both days and we were served a selection of home cooked, Sri Lankan treats that were delicious. All together a fabulous experience that I’d happily pay more for.

We stayed at Woodland Sanctuary with friends and had a wonderful time. The cottages were clean and located in a peaceful area, perfect for relaxing. Maleesha was an amazing host – very helpful and always ready to organize activities for us, including a great safari. The swimming pool was also a lovely bonus. We truly enjoyed our stay and would happily come back!
