Ski Resorts in Iida

This place is a true gem, Andy and the crew made us feel right at home! Great atmosphere, even better food! We had three perfect days on the slopes in March and this place was our perfect base. Highly recommended! Thx a lot!

We arrived early and the team were flexible allowing us entry and early storage of bags.

Mickey and Mary went above and beyond to show my partner and I the best of Hakuba. Not only did they introduce us to outstanding local restaurants and onsens—they offered transport to and from the places we were interested in exploring! If it weren't for Mickey's recommended timing for our Tsugaike Nature Park outing, we would have missed our window into the most phenomenal views I have seen during my three years in Japan. Summer Leaves didn't just make our Hakuba experience possible—Mickey and Mary made the trip our most memorable yet. Bonus: The building itself is a treat, and Mickey's breakfasts are just what you need before a day's outings! Nature hikes, onsens, good food or snow sports—Summer Leaves has got you covered. 🤗

Practically everything! There are so many amazing things to say about this place, I'll just go in order: 1) They were VERY prompt and communicative over booking.com chat for my questions and requests for my sister who is on a wheelchair. 2) They have a free shuttle bus service for pickup from the train/bus station and a dropoff. AND for whenever you want to visit anywhere in Hakuba that's within a 10 min drive diameter. HOW COOL IS THAT?! An absolute highlight and USP of this place. 3) THE STAFF! Omg, the staff is some of the BEST I've ever seen in all of my stays around the world. In particular, their managers Thomas and Rena. I cannot emphasize how immensely helpful they both were throughout my stay there working around the clock to ensure we had the best time. Seriously, words cannot describe how great they were and I cannot thank them enough. 4) Thomas, who was coordinating with me over messages before my arrival; made whatever possible arrangements for my handicapped sister to ensure she had the smoothest time and I am incredibly thankful to him for that. Not only this, he personally took so much time and effort to make sure we got to do the activities we wanted and made all sorts of arrangements including arranging for ski rentals and inquiring with the resorts before we got there. Anyone from the Wadano team reading this, please make sure this guy is taken care of well. He truly is the crown jewel of our experience there. 5) The hotel itself is equipped with an awesome lounge area with a pool table, Foosball, board games and plenty of spaces to relax and unwind. Never had a dull time while I was there. 6) The rooms were wonderful and spacious. A perfect blend between modern hotel rooms on one side and a Japanese inn kinda feeling on the other. Overall, this was the best stay we had out of all of the places we visited in Japan.

Everything was great. Gaspard is the most amazing host, shuttling us to and from ski resorts and around town and helping us with anything we needed Roy is a great chef and I miss his cooking already. Thank you guys for having us!

Ski in and ski out. Very convenient start to the day. Staff was very capable and friendly.

The room is tastefully decorated and very cosy, there are spacious common bathrooms with a big bath. Toilets are very clean. The dining area is also very nicely set up, with lots of little plants! I opted for the breakfast one morning - they made a big homely Japanese breakfast for me.. Most importantly, the host and his wife are the loveliest people - he would arrange to pick you up at the station and every night would check what your plans are for the next day and send you to wherever you are planning to go. I was going to walk out to look for dinner myself one night and he came out to give me tips on where to go, and warned me that the place I wanted to go to might be fully reserved. Every night when I get back to the accommodation he’ll come out to greet me and ask where I’ve been and whether I’ve had fun. So much warmth staying here! ☺️

Everything is perfect for our big group and a good place to rest after our 3 days hike in Hakuba.
