West End, Edinburgh
Ideally set in the Edinburgh City Centre district of Edinburgh, The Resident Edinburgh is situated 1 km from Edinburgh International Conference Centre, 1.6 km from Royal Mile and 1.5 km from Camera Obscura and World of Illusions. With free WiFi, this 4-star hotel offers a shared lounge and room service. The property is 700 metres from Edinburgh Castle, and within less than 1 km of the city centre. Absolute stunning experience! Maybe it is because the hotel is fairly new, but the staff were amazing and very nice! The hotel is modern/fancy, has everything needed (except perhaps 1 thing: I was missing power outlets in the bathroom). Tea and coffee are good quality, as well as the equipment (hair dryer, ironing board, etc). Rooms are cozy, beds are comfy and really clean. (There is a common bedbug issue in the UK, but definitely not in this hotel!) There is a nice bar downstairs that offers welcome drinks at 5 pm. I think there is no breakfast option but there is a kitchenette in the room so you can prep your breakfast and store food in the small fridge.
New Town, Edinburgh
Offering city views, Roomzzz Edinburgh is an accommodation located in Edinburgh, 1 km from National Museum of Scotland and 400 metres from Royal Mile. It is set 400 metres from Edinburgh Playhouse and offers free WiFi plus a 24-hour front desk. The property is 700 metres from the city centre and 400 metres from Edinburgh Waverley station. The rooms are fantastic—spacious, well-designed, and the addition of a small kitchen with a full-size fridge is a great bonus, especially in the city centre. Everything was spotless, and the A/C kept the air fresh and comfortable throughout our stay. The location is, of course, unbeatable, sitting on the top floor of St James Quarter. Parking was an absolute breeze—you simply park in the main shopping mall’s underground garage, where there are plenty of spaces. It cost only £26 for two nights after getting the ticket validated at reception. If I’m not mistaken, £26 is the maximum charge, meaning even for a week-long stay, you’d only pay that amount as long as you don’t take the car out.

Balloch
Auchendennan FarmSelf Catering Cottages offers a beautiful setting in Arden, a short walk from the shores of Loch Lomond and only 2 miles from Balloch. These charming cottages are purpose-built and have free Wi-Fi. What a lovely property. The studio was spacious and well lit. It was sufficiently stocked with everything we needed for our stay. Everything was clean and beds were super comfy. The private garden was the highlight. Also, although a bit further from the city, which shouldn’t be a problem even if you don’t have a car since cabs are easily available, it was right across the road from the loch. The farm right outside the cottages was lovely. Peaceful location.

Very close to central Kirkwall. En-suite bedrooms ver good. Self-catering kitchen and dining room very well provided. Lounge available. Owners very supportive. Would definitely use again
The hotel was nice and quiet but well situated right in the centre of Boat of Garten with some lovely, peaceful woods a few minutes walk away. The evening meals (for which you pay extra) used home-grown produce from the wonderful garden and were very good indeed! The hotel owner was very helpul and friendly and knows the local area very well so can give advice on where to go and what to do. There is also a well-equipped kitchen if you prefer the self-catering option
Can't speak highly enough of this apartment and can't wait to go back. Location was ideal and apartment itself was fabulous...spotlessly clean and equipped with everything you could possibly want for a self catering stay from fully equipped kitchen/utility room/bedrooms/lounge and bathroom and shower/toilet.
The hostel is located in the centre, but fortunately has its own parking. All sights, lots of restaurants and shops are in walking distance. There is a self catering kitchen, and breakfast is also available at reasonable price. As it is a hostel, the rooms are simple, but clean
Clean and tidy, and the furnishings and decor were to a good standard. It was comfortable and beds good. Nice kitchen area. There are a good selection of shops nearby if self catering and places to eat if not.
Beautifully appointed flat in a central location with some lovely views out to the Firth of Clyde. We loved the comfortable large bed in the main bedroom. Living room was great for relaxing in and was furnished with a super size TV with Sky channels & Netflix. Great shower in the bathroom. Kitchen had all the mod cons you will need for a self catering break.
Location very good. Breakfast was self catering however microwave/grill did not work although we reported it to a member of the kitchen staff nothing was done about it.
Location. Price. Kitchen facilities for self catering. Nice staff
