A clean, well-equipped apartment with all the facilities needed for a short stay in Espargos. It's located in a residential area in front of the school, so it's quiet at night. Since we walked from the airport, it was a perfect location for us (on the street into town). Blackout curtains help keep out the morning light. There's a kitchenette with enough utensils to cook a simple meal. An air conditioner worked well and came in handy during a sandstorm.

The hosts are so friendly and helpful, arranging everything for me and even taking the time to walk me to the colectivo station so I could get a cheaper ride back to the airport than possible with a taxi. The apartment itself has everything you need and there is a great grocery store around the corner, plus countless good restaurants and coffee shops in east walking distance. You get all the benefit of Santa Maria’s amenities without feeling cloistered in a resort.

This bed and breakfast is allergy-free and non-smoking. We were staying at Lafayette Alojamentos for a few days, and really enjoyed our stay there! The place really felt like a home for us: there was really clean, breakfasts were amazing, and the staff was really warm and kind.
