Lovely place to stay. So quiet and tranquil. Very relaxing and comfortable. Loads of space. Great facilities. Everything you need. Breakfast provided (muesli, yoghurt, bread to toast, fruit etc with eggs to cook yourself). Lovely log burner. Easy access to Silver Peaks trails and Orokonui ecosanctuary. It is a lovely location and a beautiful home. The views are sensational and it has a homely feel to it. We loved the decor and the way the house was put together, it had character. Very nice for a wee getaway. The owners were also very accommodating and helpful.

Fabulous quiet location with great views. Lovely hosts who made us feel very welcome. Very nice breakfast. Hot tub was a bonus. Would go back to stay.

the owners are very attentive, friendly, and helpful! the room was exceptional! the room is spacious and clean, the facilities are great and very complete (got amenities to cook, bathroom supplies, tea etc. that are cleaned/refilled daily). the location is ideal as it is close to convenience store, university, pharmacy, the city centre and several great restaurants. everything is great!

Beechwood is situated on George Street, within the North Dunedin Heritage Precinct, a designated special character area.

Our room was really spacious, comfortable and very clean. We were delighted to find that tea, coffee and some little milk cartons had been left for us. Our bed was large, cozy and we slept well. There was very little noise at all. The shower was powerful., and the body soap and shampoo were useful.

The location was super convenient for walking around the CBD and shopping, and was close to a couple of supermarkets and bus routes. The apartment itself was finished to a high standard, was thoughtfully furnished with vintage and antique pieces and had pretty much thought of everything we might need for our stay, including jam and butter in the fridge and Vogels and porridge sachets on the counter. It was a slice of luxury to come back to after a long day of walking around the city. It felt secure, it was clean and airy, and there was plenty of space to move around and relax in. The view of the First Church of Otage out of the living room windows was the cherry on top. Bonus point to one of the hosts, Dan, because he was able to arrange an early check-in for me on the day I arrived and was also able to arrange a place for my sister and I to store our bags between check-out and our pickup to go to the airport - both things took a huge amount of stress off of my plate and meant we could relax and make the most of our time in the city, so thank you again for your flexibility Dan!
