Nice garden and balcony to sit out with a drink. Convenient for food shops. Interesting decoration that reflects the owners personality. We only stayed one night as a stopover on our journey up the coast for which it was exactly what we needed.

By far my favourite place to stay in Japan so far. The ladies who welcomed us was so incredibly sweet; they showed us around and one of them even took us to the local shrine so my kids could enjoy the ice cream I had purchased from their sister store.

This wonderful little house is full of traditional Japanese character and such good value for money if you are travelling on a budget. The owner is very friendly and informative. The location is fabulous opposite the picturesque railway station with a restaurant and shop nearby. A well stocked self catering kitchen allows for cooking your own food and we slept very well. A great experience!

The location was accesible by bus (from Fukui station) or Echizen Railway (train stop was about 8mins walk). The place was clean and tidy. The host was very meticulous and had provided instructions in English. The shower/bathroom were clean and amenities were sufficient.
