This is a beautiful cottage. Very spacious and has all the amenities needed for a great stay. Unfortunately, due to the weather the hot tub was not used but it was ready and available for us. The lounge space was really nice to relax in, my only disappointment is only staying one night in this gorgeous place.

Fantastic house! Lovely view down to the distant steaming river. Fabulous hot tub outside. Very comfortable beds and furniture, well-equipped kitchen, nice bathrooms. Very kind, friendly and helpful host who lives in a house on the same site (with a very friendly and fluffy dog). Will definitely stay again.

Our stay was wonderful! Iceland’s weather may be unpredictable, but its beauty more than makes up for it. Coming back at the end of the day to this beautiful house with stunning surroundings made our trip even more special. It felt warm and welcoming, like coming home. Our family (four siblings with our spouses) absolutely loved it—a true home away from home.

Located at a farm with animals, close to major attractions (blue water waterfalls, recent lava fields etc.)

    A gorgeous little summer house. Beautifully warm with a superb hot tub. We watched the Northern Lights in minus twelve degrees centigrade, nursing a gin and tonic in perfect comfort from the hot tub, magical. The little house has all the comforts you could need. The kitchen has a fridge and hob with two saucepans and a frying pan. No oven or microwave which wasn’t a problem. There was even pasta , pesto , coffee , tea , salt and various herbs in the cupboard, though I wouldn’t rely on that. You need to go shopping before arriving.

    The hot tub was such a great way to end the day of exploring the Icelandic countryside. The kitchen had everything we needed. The fireplace was cozy. The beds were dreamy. Truly the best place I have ever stayed. I wish we could have spent more time.
