We stayed at Destino for one night and really liked it! The place is surrounded by nature, and on a clear, sunny day, you can see three volcanoes. One of the coolest features of the rooms is that one of the walls is made of natural rock, giving you the feeling of being in a cave - yet everything is modern and well-built. The hosts were very welcoming too. Liz sent us lots of great recommendations for things to do in the area. You can also enjoy an outdoor bath with hot thermal water that comes straight from the ground. The highlight of the property is the cold river, which you can reach within a few minutes. In the Costa Rican heat, swimming in that fresh, flowing water was absolutely amazing. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking to immerse themselves in nature and quiet, while still staying in a comfortable and thoughtfully designed house.

This is a newly renovated house with all the facilities that one needs. The wifi was very fast and the kitchenette had everything that one needed. The host also supplied basic food stuff ;like sugar, coffee etc which was an added bonus.

The property is immaculate and well-maintained. The hostess is extremely helpful with directions and suggestions regarding the surrounding area and is knowledgeable regarding the local area and sights. A definite recommendation and good value for the price.

Not our first time staying at Casa Buda, but the first time in Casa 1, usually we end up in Casa 2. Casa 1 did not disappoint! So comfortable, so clean. Close to the airport, but in a neighborhood, quiet and walkable (mini supermercado right around the corner), close to restaurants (we drove, but the hosts offer bicycles!). Kitchen is well equipped. Beds are comfy. Wifi and AC work great! AC is in the living room as well as both bedrooms. 2 bathrooms. Both units are behind very serious fencing and gate, totally safe, secure parking. Hosts will be airport shuttle for reasonable fee. The hosts are so wonderful, will help with anything, always responsive. Muy amable!! We will be back! Pura vida!!

As a family of four, two kids of 13 and 10, we enjoyed our 3 night stay at the ranch a lot. We had a comfortable room, with a spacious veranda and a nice view of the surrounding nature. The kids really had a lot of fun in the swimming pools, with tobogan slide and jacuzzi. Even though it was a bit drizzling, they had a very good time! With the guidance of the friendly owner Jorge, we also managed to spot some nice birds like Tucans, Caracara, Woodpeckers, etc. The ranch also has a nice trail for hiking.
