An extremely charming ‘local Portuguese’ town with many excellent restaurants on the Tagus river estuary across the vasco de gama bridge from Lisbon. an easy jaunt by car or by the ferry at Montijo. This is a lovely relaxing village, not a place for nightlife and excitement; for that you have to go to lisbon. You need a car for sure but within minutes you’re in Montijo which has the Alegro forum and minutes to the outlet mall in Alcochete. Driving distance to 4-5 major supermarkets. And the Hosts were wonderful and attentive. Can’t wait to visit again !
