The room was spotless, and breakfast was phenomenal. I was shocked that a breakfast this wonderful was included with the stay! We also had dinner in the restaurant and the mussels were the best I’ve ever had.

The location near the lake was a real plus, making it easy to reach both Connemara National Park and Galway city without much driving. The host was friendly and helpful without being overbearing, and the breakfast each morning was tasty and satisfying. Overall, a wonderful and comfortable place to stay if you're exploring the area.

Quietly situated, Mountain View Guesthouse is an Irish Tourist Board approved family-run 4-star guest house. It features mature gardens, free Wi-Fi and free private parking, and is situated just 3 km from the village of Oughterard, ideally located for exploring Connemara and Galway city. Everything was just perfect - Patricia was the perfect host giving us lots of great information on where to get dinner, local spots to visit and just general banter! We had the best room in the place (imo). Breakfast was fabulous and i felt thoroughly spoilt!

Featuring family rooms, this property also provides guests with a sun terrace. Breakfast was great. Location beautiful. The host was very helpful, gave some good ideas for our excursion.
