The service, rooms and overall experience was excellent. The hotel has a perfect location in lakeside Pokhara, where it's easy to get anywhere in the tourist areas. The staff was really helpful in sorting everything for us.

Words can’t describe how much we enjoyed Hotel Karuna. The rooms have super comfy beds and wonderful lighting. Breakfast was incredibly tasty with little variations every day. But the best thing is the staff - ooooh, what a lovely bunch of people! Special thanks to the charming owner who supported us with gift shopping. Her eco-friendly, plastic-free approach is highly admirable. All said, Karuna has the perfect mix of local vibe and western standards. We extended our stay - but if you do so, better be quick as the hotel is particularly busy on weekends.

Lovely room and balcony facing probably one of the hotel’s best outlooks. On a clear day, ‘Fishtail Mountain in the Annupurna Range can be seen, even when lying in bed! A/C, and great Wi-fi in the room, spacious modern bathroom with really hot water 24 hours per day (a rare luxury in Asia.) Comfortable bed and everything extremely clean. Safety deposit box near reception area. All staff were exceptional, always friendly and helpful, and being there 20 days we got to know Kriti, Dilu and the breakfast staff well. We are not really dog lovers but no one fails to love Pookoo, he is beautiful and so tolerant. Breakfasts were brilliant lots of choice, toast, and eggs cooked to order usually. Lovely sitting areas in the garden at the front of the hotel where you could eat breakfast if you wish. We didn’t use his services this time but Dilu the manager can arrange all types of trekking trips, excursions, vehicle hire etc from within the hotel. Being 74 we chose Pokhara as a beautiful place to relax, enjoy fabulous scenery and the famous Nepalese hospitality. Pokhara has dozens of bars and restaurants all around and miles of level rural walking areas for people like us, even though there are so many young trekkers here enjoying the night life and respite after or before some serious Himalayan hiking/climbing/rafting/paragliding etc.

Hotel is worth to stay. Good choice if you are in Pokhara. Clean and comfortable rooms. Staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. Good location to be in a walk distance wherever you want. Strongly recommend!

Just perfect rooms. Big, spacious, very comfortable. Bed, linens, lights... everything. Breakfast is good, one can find any option wanted - and they have coffee from the machine.

Hotel Hakoniwa is a great place to stay in Pokhara. Its location is excellent, in a quiet area, yet very close to both the lake and the central part of Lakeside. It's easy to find around everything you need for relaxation or activities, dining or preparing for a trek. It has also a rooftop terrace with a view of Machapuchare, which already makes you dream of the mountains. :) The room was spacious and very cozy with a beautiful design created by the family. And the family - the heart of this place -, they are so friendly, caring and kind people. They also kept my big backpack while I was trekking in the mountains, which was a great help. I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Hakoniwa and can only recommend it.
