Stepping into the Golden Crown Hotel felt like entering a tropical paradise! Lush greenery draped over balconies, sparkling infinity pool reflecting the sun, and the scent of frangipani filling the air. From the first moment, though, the beauty paled in comparison to the warmth of the staff. Taranga, one of manager's, greeted us with a smile so bright it could have chased away monsoon clouds. He checked us in with the efficiency of a hummingbird, all while making us feel like long-lost friends. Thanks to you Taranga, the Golden Crown wasn't just a stunning hotel, it was a home away from home. We left feeling like we'd discovered not just a hidden gem, but a new family!

I had the pleasure of staying at Beauty Hills, and it was an absolutely delightful experience from start to finish. The hotel boasts stunning views that you can enjoy right from your bed or the spacious balcony. Watching the sunrise over the horizon was a breathtaking moment that I'll never forget. One of the highlights of Beauty Hills is its proximity to the Temple of the Tooth, making it convenient for guests to explore this iconic landmark by foot. Additionally, the leisurely walk down to the city alongside the tranquil lake adds an extra layer of charm to the experience. The staff were incredibly hospitable, ensuring that every aspect of my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The rooms were immaculate, and the amenities provided exceeded my expectations. Ratna the manager was awesome. He took us anywhere we wanted to go in his Tuk Tuk. Very friendly and extremely helpful. Lovely breakfast and they also cooked us dinner one night at our request which was really good. The view from the balcony was exceptional. Even the cook was so eager to please. We highly recommend this property.

Lovely place, great view and very clean. Nice staff and great breakfast. Bit of a steep climb walking from downtown, takes about 15 minutes. But thanks to hill we got the beautiful view of the lake. You can easily get a tuk tuk if you prefer.

This place is outstanding. It’s situated on a beautiful hill overlooking a valley and very close to Kandy. The garden is beautiful and well-kept. The personnel are very kind and did everything possible to make our stay memorable. There’s lots of birds in the garden.

We had an amazing stay at Hanthana House. The room was spotless, modern, and the bed super comfortable – truly first-class quality. The balcony view over the jungle is just magical: waking up to monkeys and birds is an experience in itself. What made it unforgettable were the hosts – Paty, his wife, and their son Mack – who are true super hosts. They made us feel at home from the first moment, always warm and welcoming. Don’t miss the homemade curry with rice for dinner – absolutely delicious, a 10/10! This place combines comfort, nature, and genuine hospitality. Highly recommended if you’re visiting Kandy.
