- If you're looking to stay and share moments with a true icelandic family, don't hesitate to book here! We had some great discussions at the breakfast (which was pretty basic but enough). - The house is located on a farm full of sheep which was nice to look at, at all times - The bathroom was clean - The kitchen is very well equipped with everything u might need to heat meals or cook them - The shared space was good (although we were the only ones there that night, so we kind of enjoyed the whole house for ourserlves)

Exceptional place in a peaceful location off the beaten path. Cozy rooms with modern amenities, including a fantastic bed and shower. The host was kind and attentive, and even went out of her way to get us some ice from her neighbor. The breakfast was our favorite of the whole trip, especially the homemade waffles! We can't wait to return next time we visit Iceland.

We stayed in a cozy cabin, fully equipped and super clean with wonderfull views. The place is really quiet to relax away from touristic places but also well located for visiting the nearby area. A little sad that we were only staying for one night. We definitely recommend staying here. Hope to come back in the future.

The only downside was staying just one night, it definitely deserved a longer stay! The visit to the farm is also worth it, the animals are very well kept and the staff is very kind. See you soon.

Such a relaxing location. Loved being around the working farm and such a delightful valley. Had all the failures our group needed, the beds were very comfy and everything was super clean. The hot tub was a nice bonus.

The house is beautifully restored, tastefully decorated and extremely characterful with a lovely family history. It was great to be able to use the well-equipped kitchen to cook dinner and there was plenty of space in the beautiful living room to eat and relax in the evening, with stunning views over the valley below. Berglind and Finnbogi were very friendly and welcoming hosts.

The cottage is located in a very quite area, it’s very spacious and well equipped. You can relax in the hot tube with very nice view, it’s great after a long way and before the next intensive day. We stayed there for one night, before our trip to Western Fiords. It was a great stop!

Great host, they also run a diary farm, got to visit it, perfect with kids. The hot tub was also warm when we arrived, great way to relax after the drive.

Saudafell Guesthouse has been in the same family for 4 generations. It has been renovated and finished in 2011. The living room is furnished with historic charm, with a great view over the property, and a porch. We had most of the guesthouse to ourselves in March and stayed in a nice spacious room on the ground floor with a desk, which was quite the luxury! The spaces are kept very clean, and Berglind comes over to prepare breakfast every morning. It was delightful! Highly recommended!

Well-renovated Icelandic house with a cozy atmosphere and meticulous attention to detail. The pleasant wall colors and ample natural light in the room create a welcoming ambiance. The window offers a lovely view, and the simple, light breakfast, personally served by the owner, adds a personal touch. The minimal light pollution makes it an excellent spot for catching the Northern Lights when conditions align. It's unfortunate that our late arrival limited our time here, as I would have loved to fully immerse myself in the experience.

The owners were super friendly, kind and helpful. Our bed was so comfortable and clean. It was lovely staying on a working farm and being close to the horses. Also enjoyed talking to other travelers in the evening to share ideas.
