The hotel itself is reminiscent of Soviet Union times. I'm talking about the room we got after we agreed to stay in the room we booked. We were very tired and stressed after a hard day, and by mistake I booked the wrong room, where we were supposed to sleep in a bag on the hay. I understand that some people like this, but not in our case. The owner was very stubborn and asked us to pay triple for another room. We didn't have another option.

I should say that in fact we were upgraded to the Bulow Palais next door: all my comments therefore relate to that. The Bulow Palais breakfast is superb: everything you want.

This former farmhouse is now a family-run hotel featuring a sauna, a cosy breakfast room and a well-maintained garden area. It is located in Reichenberg, a 20-minute drive from Dresden city centre.
