But what truly stole our hearts was the breathtaking view that greeted us every morning. Location-wise, it doesn't get much better than this. The hotel is centrally located, putting everything within walking distance. Exploring the charming streets of Hoi An was a breeze, thanks to its perfect spot. Now, let's talk about the breakfast. Oh my, the breakfast! It was not just a meal; it was a culinary delight. Every morning was a gastronomic adventure, and we couldn't have asked for a better start to our day. But what truly set Grand Sunrise Palace apart was its staff, and Sully in particular. She is an absolute gem of a person. Her friendliness and humility made our stay unforgettable. Sully went above and beyond to guide us through our trip, helping us plan our days to perfection. We originally planned to stay for only three days, but thanks to the beautiful hotel and Sully's exceptional hospitality, we extended our stay to a week. We are already counting the days until we can return to this little piece of paradise. Grand Sunrise Palace and Sully have left an indelible mark on our hearts, and we can't wait to be back again!

    Beautiful old town.

    Beautiful old town. Would recommend a visit to Poison which does tasty iced coffee and good food. Hoi An roastery coffee is also a good stop for coffee. Faifo coffee is also lovely, go upstairs to get great rooftops views over the old town. Have a wander and bargain at the night market always good fun. There are so many bars and restaurants to choose from but the best thing is coffee.

    The snorkeling here is mediocre. The visibility is not very good, and the coral and fish are not worth the effort. The town itself is chill, but the food is not so special. Da Nang and Hoi An had better restaurants.

    We rented the entire property for a group of 6 people.

    We rented the entire property for a group of 6 people. Everyone has their own room and bathroom which was great and the bedrooms are very comfortable and large with very big beds and phenomenal air conditioning. Communal areas need work tho!! We couldnt enter the kitchen due to a horrific smell from our arrival and there was no plave to relax by the pool. Outdoor furniture would be good. Overall, in particular due to air conditioning, we enjoyed our stay and host was very responsive via whatsapp but not sure Id recommend due to lack of quality communal space, mass of bedding and cleaning ongoing on upper level and fowl kitchen.

    If you want to get a feel for a sleepy town which is not a tourism magnet then this is a place to experience a real local town in Vietnam. Add to that the Quang Nam museum in the center of town is very interesting to visit. Hopefully there will be more information for foreign visitors around! The beach is not that far and it is worth to rent a bike or car and spend sometime around some of the villages around the coast there. They have a lot of characters. The food in Tam Ky, especially seafood is awesome too!

    Booked 5 nights to relax but reduced to 3 as very little to do and lacking facilities for lounging on beach. Beaches were a hot walk away, with steep climb. Some nice seafront cafes - local, not Western.

    An Bang beach is the perfect base for a visit to Hoi An. It’s lovely to have the beach for the day with the town being only a 10 minute taxi away for the night time lanterns. It's a beautiful beach - golden sand, warm sea, gently shelving so v safe for kids. Lots of lovely beach bars and restaurants but not a glitzy party place. More low key and family friendly.

    If you want a truly immersive Vietnamese experience without big city noise you should visit Hoi An. It’s a cozy little town, the ancient town at night with the river lined up with lantern boats, silk and leather shops, wonderful tailors shops, small temples, people enjoying Bai Choi game and singing, the basket boats, the lovely rice fields…..it was truly local and beautiful.

    This is an island. There are no hotels and cars on it. Only guesthouses and bikes. Great nature and diving. You can drive up to the lighthouse, but circular movements around the island are now impossible, in several places there are collapses of stones. Look for guesthouses with fresh good reviews, they may not have a sea view, but there will be clean comfortable rooms. Good diving spots! 1-2 days is enough for the trip
