They were so accommodating to every wish we had and provided everything we needed to get the most out of our stay in Koh Kood. Breakfast was so delicious, the view from the dining table was phenomenal and the room was adorable! Our stay was nothing short of magical. The fact that so few people can stay at Canale made it great for us to interact with other guests as well and share stories and tips during coffee or tea in the evening. This is the first time during all of my travels that a place I went to felt like home. Once again, thank you Deng (and niece), you played a huge part in making our stay amazing!

CanadaDon't sleep on this place, it is absolutely magical. The women who we interacted with (who ran the place?) were very kind and relaxed. The taxi from the ferry dropped us off at the wrong place (Bang Magkok) and the women at Baan Bua came and got us! We also accidentally locked our key in the safe, and again they rescued us. The food they serve is AMAZING. The atmosphere is AMAZING. They had all the small touches like towels, a cover up and a beach blanket in a wicker bag for us to use (free). Air conditioner works amazing. Bed is so comfy. Room is large. Extremely clean. We stayed at another hotel after this, and despite that hotel being directly on a gorgeous beach... we STILL loved Baan Bua more! Just make sure you can ride a motorbike because you will need them to get around (they're automatic transmission and 250 thb rental from them a day). We rented 2 and it didn't take us long to travel to the various beaches. I
have traveled a lot around the world, and this hotel is in my top 10 for sure. THANK YOU BAAN BUA!

I recommend booking the bungalow which has the small private pool (there's only one), it's a nice feature and we appreciated the privacy. The staff was great, very professional. The bunglow was comfortable, spacious and well appointed. There's a fitness center which was never crowded. Motorbike rentals were available at the resort at a very resonable rate - it's really the only way around the island if you want to explore. The food was excellent, breakfast was included but lunch and dinner were extra but resonably priced. There's no 7-11 on the island, but there is a small shop within the resort where you can purchase toiletries, snacks and beverages. Loved the beach swings and hammocks. Thanks to the wonderful reception team we had the most stress free stay. They arranged our transportation to our next stay in Koh Mak (which turned out a though job given the rainy/low season). We could rent a motorbike easily, kayak is for free. They booked us a great snorkling trip. This team shows a lot of flexibility and organisational talent! Above all we felt instantly welcome in this beautiful resort. The restaurant service is fast, friendly (always smiling) and serves delicious food. The pool was perfect for the children and so quite, they had it to themselves a lot of the time. We had a double Villa with plunge pool, this was perfect for a family of four with two older kids. To get the most out of the island you really need to be happy to ride a moped, we did not do this as weren’t happy having kids on the back. Koh Kood is a genuine hidden gem. The tropical beaches have crystal clear water and there are some great snorkeling spots if you look hard enough. Make sure you get down to The Fisherman Hut and mention Whimsical Tricycle to the owner, Tom. He will know what you mean. Enjoy! But keep it secret.
