We stayed there because it was close to Akagera park. We stayed in a beautiful bungalow, very cosy and stylish decorated. In the evening we had a tasty dinner just for 8 dollars. As an addition: a beautiful garden around and extremely friendly stuff.

I cannot even express the gratitude I have for people and this place! They went above and beyond, do not hesitate to stay here, dont bother looking anywhere else, this is the place to stay, the rooms are immaculate, they washed our clothes, prepared our food which tasted phenomenal, I dream about the tilapia! They went all out for my husbands birthday, arranged for halal meat! Wow! Couldn't believe it! Best hotel ive ever stayed in, truly and I have travelled the world, they even organised our tour for the national park, exceptional! Will definitely be back and recommend to everyone! Thank you everyone from the bottom of my heart!

Everything here was perfect, the rooms had all facilities you can ask for, clean confortable and very quiet. It is located inside the Akagera park, so searching for wildlife is just perfect as long as you are inside the park. Breakfast and dinner had a great option and the staff was wonderful throughout. There is a pool overlooking the lake and the border with Tanzania and at night the set fire to sit around and enjoy a drink in a campsite looking area. I will be back here, this is what you need after a full day of exploring the park to relax and recharge . Loved it.

Our stay at Akagera Transit Lodge was truly exceptional. From the moment we arrived in Kigali, the service was outstanding. The lodge arranged seamless transportation for my family and me from Kigali to Akagera, ensuring a stress-free start to our adventure. During our Safari trip in Akagera National Park, the lodge’s commitment to excellent service continued. They made sure we had everything we needed for a memorable experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, always going above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. One of the highlights was the breathtaking view from the lodge. A very peaceful and beautiful place to stay. The cottage is very spacious and the bathroom is great! They have put a lot of effort in the design of the whole property so it feels like such a special place to be. The view on the lake is beautiful and never boring. Restaurant service is perfect and the food was nice.
