I advise people to give Timisoara a chance, visit, and enjoy a reborn city. Great place to overnight while passing through. The room was spacious and clean with comfortable beds. Staff was very polite and helpful. I would definitely recommend. The pool area was a bit small and crowded but I didn't stay there to swim so it didn't affect me. Restaurant and bar on site. Good food. Supermarket across the street. The city is being reborn from inside out. Many old buildings have been restored to their original glory. Many are under restoration projects. Same for historical buildings, churches and cultural landmarks. You can see, feel and touch history that goes back over 2,000 years... and feel safe and welcomed. It was my first time visiting Timișoara, and I really enjoyed the city centre — perhaps the leaders in Bucharest could take some inspiration. The streets I walked along had plenty of green spaces and beautiful houses, but unfortunately, many parks seem neglected. I wanted to visit the Hunyad Museum, but it is permanently closed; it would help to mention the reason in its description. The Museum of the Communist Consumer was not quite what I expected — perhaps because it’s a private initiative — but it deserves more attention, as I saw tourists coming specifically for it. The Iron Bridge is also just a point on the tourist map, yet it’s in disrepair and unkempt. Overall, I hope more attention will be given to all tourist attractions, not just the city centre.Guest review byandreeaRomania
