This hotel had exceptional service and there was great attention to detail. Beautiful scenery and the facilities were amazing. From the moment we walked into the hotel to when we checked out we felt completely relaxed by and emersed in the experience of the hotel. It has so many nice little touches throughout our stay and it’s really a beautiful hotel. Pool temperature is very subjective, we found it fine and refreshing for November.

The Suite we had is clearly the nicest room of the hotel with an absolutely stunning view. The double room makes the experience absolutely fantastic and proof to any need you have if you are a couple : whilst one rests on the bed the other one can be busy in the office/living room without disturbing. I have rarely seen such a wonderful view in hotels in Algarve - it's only trumped by the view you have on the rooftop of the building. By the way they had organised a nice "white night" to observe the moon-rise that evening. Lovely ! The breakfast it amazing - the pool is very nice too. You can see little details here and there that were lovely like a selection of books in free service, for those who forgot theirs. English, French and portuguese!

    The food and the people are amazing! The views are stunning. The beach is very very long and there's lots of activities to do. As a family we ate out every afternoon and evening, and we visited the local shops for breakfast, snack and accompaniment items to eat in our Villa. We walked everywhere, but there were local transport options available too, specifically the land train. The roads are steep in parts, and will get your heart pumping, but there's well thought out alternative routes you can use with steps or other cut throughs to get you from A to B in an efficient manner! We visited the marina a few times and went out on a boat to see the Dolphins and Caves.

    Faro is wonderful.

    Faro is wonderful. The Rio Formosa is the Jewel in the Crown. A word of caution, the streets are almost all cobbled and very polished , so be careful of footware. Take the train up to Tavira and Olhao, ideal for a day out.

    Carvoeiro is a lovely little town with a beautiful beach,restaurants and shops,The people are so friendly and when u go back year after year they treat u like family,most of the restaurants are excellent but we liked happys the petite restaurant good food and value for money and if u feel like staying out next door is the round up bar,it’s madness but great fun

    Amazing place lots of restaurants and bars but it is all spaced out if you have good legs this is no problem. Of course you can hire a car and drive out at night but if you want to drink you need to walk as we didn't see 1 taxi on our 9 night stay. Find accommodation near to Mareta beach as that's about central. Very young area lots of fit surfing people day and night which is great. There are 3 beaches within walking distance Tonel is the one for surfing if you can do!! Mareta beach is the nicest of the 3. There are many more you can drive to. The fort is interesting. Can be very windy as it is on the cliff top! We love the Algarve the whole lot of it I am addicted to it.

    Aljezur is a great location to visit if you like nature,...

    Aljezur is a great location to visit if you like nature, surfing, good food, a slower pace of life. I would recommend staying in Aljezur, getting a car to drive around to different beaches and villages where you can find good restaurants. In the evening, in Aljezur, always book ahead a table.
