Manila is rapidly becoming a much nicer place to stay. BGC especially is a very nice area to stay and enjoy. El Nido has so many fun things to do, and we liked that while there were a plentitude of tourist options, we were not separated from local culture and activities that sometimes happens in other places. We were only there for four days, and we could have stayed another week. The beaches are beyond stunning, both the ones you can walk to and the ones that need a boat. The calamian group of islands of which Coron is part of, is beautiful. And I hope all the measures to keep it pristine and unlittered will be successful always. There are many breathtaking sights. You would need a sizable budget though to be able to enjoy the boat tours which are wonderful. If you have the time, visit Culion. It is historical (a UNESCO site), and while the places to see could do a little tidying up, nevertheless, the history of that place invites reflection and inspires--many heroic people lived on that island. Filthy squaller. Angeles City is horrible. Even walking street was hugely disappointing. Lots of closed bars, the bars i did go in were horrible. Women standing on stage, really looked like they didn't want to be tIhere. Just a horrible vibe. Makati is far superior to Angeles in every way possible. Dont waste your time going here. The SM mall which is close to the ABC hotel is very dangerous to get to . You have to try and cross about 4 very busy roads to get to it, no sky bridge, no subway to get there. Absolutely! San Vicente really flies under the radar compared to El Nido and Coron, but that’s part of its charm. It’s less crowded, more laid-back, and still boasts those stunning, unspoiled beaches—especially the 14-kilometer Long Beach, which feels like a hidden gem. The slower pace and warm, genuine hospitality from the locals really give it that authentic "island life" vibe. It’s perfect for people looking to relax, connect with nature, and avoid the more tourist-heavy scenes.
