General Luna is the most touristy part of Siargao.
General Luna is the most touristy part of Siargao. Lots of stores, shops, restaurants around. Easily walkable, but also accessible by tricycle/tuktuk. It's a bit too busy for me as I prefer more quiet and peaceful spot for accomodation. Only stayed overnight as we were traveling from Surigao down to Pantukan wanted to break up the long drive south ! Butuan was a very busy city and lots of traffic. smog was bad due to the heat and high volume if traffic .We only visited the mall which was like every other mall ! We went to a pizza restaurant looking for alternative and guess what they only had pizza available everything else was off the menu ! But far play the pizza was awesome and very filling ! Nothing much but surfing. Some popular restaurants are hype. The French bakery near the Surf area serves really really good breadz croissants, sourdough and other food. At first I kinda did not like the way going to the exact place, but when we found out the other way/easiest way, we felt relieved. The owner was very accommodating and also the in-charge cum reservation/receptionist, she was very kind and helpful, she had given us all the information regarding the places where we should go and enjoy. Burgos is a wonderful place to stay when visiting Siargao.
Burgos is a wonderful place to stay when visiting Siargao. It's a lot more peaceful than down south but there are beautiful and much les crowded places to explore. There's good 4G signal so you can stay connected but just travelling 15 minutes further north and you're totally off grid which is great. Easy to get to Secret Spot and Tangbo beach for surfing, Alegria beach for tanning and swimming, Tak Tak falls for cooling off in the heat, Kolekbibo, Lokal Hub and Izustarri for tasty food/drinks and lovely views!Guest review byRosieUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Dapa was not our destination just a pass through.
Dapa was not our destination just a pass through. I stayed at Club Tara Near Sohoton Cove. The reason for the overnight stay in Dapa was because the PAL flight landed after the last ferry from Dapa to Socorro. Remember to research the ferry times for Dapa to Socorro. Do not pay P 5k from Dapa for a ferry. This is a scam. My hometown, Butuan City is now progressive compared when we left in 1983.It has now big malls like SM and Robinsons; many hotels are also mushrooming and there are a lot of fast food chains and local restaurants offering good food. Surigao is recovering from damage caused by typhoon Odette. I suggest waiting a year or so before visiting here. It was rainy and windy during our visit so not fair to comment.
