- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.4Very good - What previous guests thought, 219 reviewsEric is such a nice person, always smile and very helpful. The dorm room was very cozy and clean. The kitchen area is super to have a chat with the others and cook your own meal. The bathroom is very tidy and nice. My favorite was the swimming pool area. On a sunny day it's amazing to cool down in the pool. Well done with your business Eric. I appreciate what you do. The staff is also super friendly and Eric's wife is a great chef. Was a pleasure. - Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Superb - What previous guests thought, 354 reviewsI loved my sweet bungalow with a wonderful porch and view of the ocean. Especially loved the owner’s kitty who adopted me for my stay. Fare Tokoau is near all of my favorite restaurants, and has the most beautiful sunsets on the island of Moorea. The owners were lovely and very helpful whenever I needed anything. I will definitely stay here on my next trip to Moorea.Guest review byChristineUnited States
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 7.8Good - What previous guests thought, 41 reviewsLoved this property. The location is excellent and Poe was friendly and helpful. The kayaks and snorkelling were easy to access and the beach was literally ten metres from the verandah. Private sunbathing, easy access and comfortable spot. I would recommend this to anyone. The highlight for the family was the dog, Choupinette who was the sweetest girl.Guest review byChrisNew Zealand
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Superb - What previous guests thought, 286 reviewsMy beach bungalow was gorgeous and very comfortable. The staff was lovely and made me feel like home. There is a snorkeling spot nearby but I was happy to see rays and sharks at the beach in front of the hotel. The common spaces are gorgeous and it was nice to have a shared kitchen to meet other travelers. I loved this place.Guest review byEmilieSwitzerland

Location is one of my favourite in French Polynesia, The place has a super peaceful atmosphere and is great to crash after an active holiday in Polynesia. The hosts are brilliant and will encourage exploring the local habitat.Guest review byIgnacyIsle of Man

Some of the best snorkelling on the island is right on the property. I saw sharks, sting rays, whales, and plenty of fish right from the restaurant.Guest review byArieCanada

I like the slow pace of Moorea.
I like the slow pace of Moorea. I wake up to watch the sunrises and stop to watch the sunsets every night. The star gazing is unbelievable and swimming in the dark under a curtain of stars is my happy place.Guest review byNatalieNew Zealand - 10.0
The scenery was spectacular. The people were very friendly.
The scenery was spectacular. The people were very friendly. The beach was excellent. It was great to be able to lay under a palm tree for shade. A car is strongly recommend. It is easy to drive around the island, the roads are perfect. The island is very quiet, except for the roosters which add a fabulous authenticity to the island experience.Guest review byKarenCanada - 8.0
The staff at the resort were friendly and helpful.
The staff at the resort were friendly and helpful. Everything was super clean and well cared for. We rented E-bikes and had a wonderful afternoon exploring the island by ourselves. Taking a taxi to other places for meals was no problem just be certain they are open that day. The island is very quiet in the evenings. The locals( the the guests too) live by the sun...early to rise and early to bed.Guest review byKimCanada - 6.0

Location is a long way from the airport and port, so best to rent a car to get around as no bus service. Hot and humid in January so not so easy to walk far. Many people were enjoying lagoon activities.Guest review byDavidNew Zealand - 10.0

I loved the location and the serenity of it, I loved to sit on the benches on the bay and read. Allo pizza food amazing. You need a car here in order to get to the shops and beaches, but I knew this when I booked and was happy. Few nice places in walking distance and supermarket about 15 min walk. This place is great value, and meant the money I saved I spent on car and excursions. I would stay again, as a very family feel, being a single traveller I felt very safe here and looked afterGuest review byRebeccaUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Beautiful rustic setting, close to gorgeous beaches, friendly people. Great if you like water sports - kayak, jetski, snorkeling, diving, swimming, just lounging in the clear warm water! You will need a rental car to get around no matter where you stay - no uber. You can drive around the whole island in about an hour. A great tour to take from Albert Tours is the snorkeling with sharks & rays. It includes a nice lunch.Guest review byAnnUnited States - 10.0
So so beautiful. The lagoon, the colours of the lagoon.
So so beautiful. The lagoon, the colours of the lagoon. Must get back. A high recommendation is to rent a car or a scooter and drive or ride around the island it really is beautiful. Love it more than Bora Bora but both are a must to visitGuest review byZdravko VrbanjacAustralia - 10.0
I heartily do recommend Tema'e Beach House.
I heartily do recommend Tema'e Beach House. Nick, the owner, is a really nice and attentive guy - looks after his guests as well as the premacy itself & keeps it clean & proper (mind you: not always an easy task in tropical surroundings!). And really helpful are his pick-ups at the ferry port. Those arriving by plane don't have to worry anyway: airport is only a 300(!) metres walk away. What's a superb experience: sitting together with the other guests from all over the world & sometimes having in-depth discussions. On top of it, wonderful Tema'e beach is in walking distance as well (approximately 15 minutes) - be aware of the strong current of the sea, though! For the adventurous types: take an astounding bike ride around Mo'orea (60 km, approx 3-5 hrs ride, depending on personal fitness) - the bike is working now, we repaired it :-))). As for lagoon tours: contact Moorea Miti Tours, excellent! Of course, there have to be (especially in-house) rules (shoes, eating, waste and so on). However, a bit less strictness would even add to a more relaxed atmosphere.Guest review byKlausGermany - 2.0

The idea of the Te Orange Hau "lodge" is lovely which is why I booked it. But it does not deliver. It was a sham of what was represented on the website. We stayed in the back one bedroom cottage with the bedroom up some narrow stairs with no light at night. The place was dirty with moldy shower curtain shower. In the morning I wakened to rat poo next to my toothbrush. The bathroom is literally "under the stairs". The kitchenette is hardly that. There was an unworkable electric hot plate, a tiny fridge and we absolutely could not "prepare meals" in that kitchen. Good restaurants are at least 20-25 minutes away from Affareaitu. There are 2 cottages in front. I do not know what they are like but the website combines the best pictures of all of them and presents them as the cottage they are offering. This is dishonest. Moorea is a difficult place to find another place to stay when you are under the gun. Luckily we were able to find something else and only had to stay there for 2 miserable nights. Don't ruin your time on this beautiful island.Guest review byHansiUnited States - 10.0
Amazing location right on the beach.
Amazing location right on the beach. Perfect size bungalow for our 2 families, 7 total people. People gather at the beach and dock in front of the house because it is the best place to watch sunrise/ sunset. Huge trees in front of the house provide shade. Scubapiti dive center right next door, run by Henry, an excellent guide. Dive boats leave from the dock in front of the house. We also used the tennis court on the property and it was nice. If you are looking for a beach house for a dive vacation, this is the one. Decor is quaint, and simple-- house is rustic rather than modern or stylish. 2 kayaks on site which we used a lot. Restaurants in the area are hit and miss; consider eating at the house as the view is unbeatable. Hostess is friendly.Guest review byBrettUnited States
