- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.3Very good - What previous guests thought, 2,000 reviewsThe hotel was exceptional. The pictures online and the website do not do it justice. We had an amazing stay. All the staff were fantastic (especially tania and lowaina). My husband had a little accident on a scooter, and the staff cared for him so well, and we're so understanding. We rented bicycles to cycle around the island, and unfortunately, I came down with heat exhaustion . We contacted the hotel and they sent someone to collect me and bring me back to the hotel. We couldn't speak highly enough of the staff they are truly amazing and made our stay so much better. The food was lovely, we ate there every day for breakfast and lunch and most days for dinner. The room was great, spacious, and all the amenities we needed.. Having its own beach and swimming pool was a huge plus. And if you get tires of lying by the beach, there are lots of activities such as snooker, table tennis, snorkelling, canoeing, and a cultural display each day at 3 pm I would highley recommend this hotel to other couples travelling to bora bora..Guest review byKellyIreland
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 50 reviewsThis place is a piece of paradise, a place on a remote motu where you arrive with a boat, just to enjoy nature and privacy brought to perfection. The place is designed in the most beautiful way, with little details at every corner, with paintings, old vases and statues. The amount of relaxation you receive in this place is incredible. The host is very friendly and helpful, contributing to the best experience in terms of hospitality. You basically have your own private island and your own private beach with all the comfort of a high end hotel. While some people might be a little concerned with mosquitos, please note that a reasonable quality repeller will solve this for you. We tried the very best in Bora Bora, including the high end resorts with water bungalows. I can say that without our experience at Fare Ahuna, our trip to Bora Bora would have been so much less complete. Thank you Tea for everything that you built there, and with a humble salute, I thank you for allowing us to experience this glimpse of paradise.Guest review byRaduRomania
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.3Very good - What previous guests thought, 159 reviewsThe owners are very friendly, helpful. They explained everything to us. They have two bungalows on their property, each of them has its own atmosphere. We stayed in the bungalow that is directly connected to the terrace, which is over the water. So you can see the sea directly from the bed. We spent 6 nights on site, almost every day we used the bikes that the owners rent for free (as well as the kayak and paddelboard). Snorkeling by the corals is possible about 30 meters from the bungalow, just a dream. And sometimes we even saw a small stingray from the terrace. If we would come back to Bora Bora, we would definitely come here.Guest review byKarolínaCzech Republic
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.1Very good - What previous guests thought, 413 reviewsWe loved everything. The location is superb. It’s right next to the second office of Avis from whom we rented a scooter so it was easy to recharge its battery. Also, the beach that the bungalows have access is fabulous. We snorkelled on our own and saw numerous fish, eagle rays, sharks and turtles. Also, the staff are outstandingly friendly, helpful and kind, all of them. They gave us all necessary info and tips and advice. I’d stay here again any time.Guest review byJovanaUnited Arab Emirates
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 865 reviewsBeautiful overwater bungalow, Mai Tai builds a reef under the bungalows an over the beach which is beautiful to snorkel at. The staff were great, very nice, helpful, and informative. The location was great, a walking distance from Matira beach, the only sandy beach on Bora Bora main island. We saw a couple of sting rays below our bungalow. We received great hospitality since we came and until we left. Irina the Mai Tai's driver is wonderful.Guest review byTalia LevronIsrael

Bora Bora is a slice of paradise.
Bora Bora is a slice of paradise. We rented a scooter for a day and saw the whole island. What was best was Rudolph at H2O was an amazing tour guide. Well worth the money. The waters are amazing colours and warm. Temperature perfect. People were nice and friendly. Had some great meals.Guest review byDorisNew Zealand - 10.0
Our favourite place was on the lagoon.
Our favourite place was on the lagoon. We hired a pontoon boat and spent a day on the water, one of the best experiences was snorkelling, swimming and relaxing. It was great. Lots of different fish, coral gardens and many sea life. Water was crystal clear and vibrantly blues and greens. Views were endless. Swam at Matira Beach. Wish I could go back there. Restaurants were good and plentiful - we ate at Lucky House and Maitai Restaurants.Guest review byTracyAustralia - 10.0
Going to Matira Beach is a must.
Going to Matira Beach is a must. Have a drink or sunset at the Bora Bora Beach Club that's right on the beach. Go on a boat tour to a Motu (an islet) and snorkeling (ask for DiDi the boat captain).Guest review bychristianUnited States
