- From US$193.82 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.7Good - What previous guests thought, 1,454 reviewsThe apartment was super close to the centre of town, with restaurants, shops, waterfront about 2-5mins walk away. The apartment was very clean with full kitchen facilities for cooking, if needed. We stayed at the 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom unit, and it was very spacious. 2 couples could stay here (otherwise it’s perfect for a family of 4-5. Parking was onsite and the staff were super helpful, even though we checked in a little later. I would stay here if visiting Queenstown again.Guest review byAudreySingapore
- From US$136.71 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.1Very good - What previous guests thought, 2,613 reviewsLove the concept of sustainability woven into as many points as possible eg refillable glass bottle as mini bar, renovation with certain materials, sourcing local ingredients or homegrown produce for the restaurant and so much more. Staff were also amazing, location was great, sauna complimentary. A highlight was the restaurant - a must do when you’re visiting.Guest review byAnnaJapan

Queenstown is very diverse with a mix of different food options and bars. Ferdburger is one of the most popular places in Queenstown. Easy to get around Queenstown walking but driving is very difficult.Guest review byLynnAustralia - 8.0
This is a great base for hiking Aspiring National Park.
This is a great base for hiking Aspiring National Park. It is worth hunting out the less popular tracks such as Juday Track and Sugarloaf Pass as wellas the popular multi-day hikes: Greenstone, Caples, Routeburn and Rees- Dart, all of which are great but busy.Guest review byNeilNew Zealand - 10.0

Kingston is only a short trip to Queenstown but is a small village with so much to see and do, Golf, Kinston Flyer train and the lake for boating without the all the people of Queenstown. Kingston has a bar and cafe at the train station and a shop for all your needs, great place for a stopover before or after visiting Queenstown districtGuest review byRobNew Zealand - 8.0

It was close to the lake but about a 15 minute drive into Queenstown city centre so not really ideal if you plan on hitting the clubs constantly. You definitely need a car, it’s about $45 one way for an Uber. It was brilliant for taking nice like walks along the lake and chilling, reading etc.Guest review byGinnyNew Zealand - 8.0

Queenstown is great for a couple of nights if you're passing through or showing friends from overseas. As a Kiwi, we do find it expensive, however we know it is geared towards international tourists. They have an excellent Medical Centre!Guest review byVickiNew Zealand - 10.0
Glenorchy is out of this world. Stunning.
Glenorchy is out of this world. Stunning. The road trip there is overwhelming and there are so many fabulous hikes. The wee village has a great hotel with really nice food and vegetarian friendly, same with Mrs Woolly's General Store and good coffee.Guest review byRossNew Zealand - 6.0
The scenery was spectacular.
The scenery was spectacular. Amisfield winery and restaurant (5 star plus) was the trip highlight - it's 20 mins outside town - take an Uber so you can enjoy the wine(s). Queenstown itself is very small and walkable and has some nice eateries: the Patagonia icecream parlour on lake front was a treat (eat upstairs for the lake view). Best to book eateries in advance and excursions (though we we subject to "sorry overbooked" after a tour paid for!)Guest review byANTONYAustralia - 8.0
Small town. Great general store.
Small town. Great general store. Cafe kitchens dont open till 12 so its just coffee n cabinet food till then. Epic views and good walks to do. Ate at Mr Glen's Taphouse - great coffee and cabinet food. Recommend walk around boardwalk and lagoon. Need a 4WD if going to Paradise - river crossings.Guest review byAmaliNew Zealand
