The location is excellent—right in the city center, close to the port with ferries to the islands, great restaurants, and various leisure spots. Public transport is very convenient, with city bus stops right across the street and a direct airport bus just around the corner. The staff is exceptionally friendly and attentive, both at the reception and in the restaurant. This hotel, I found to be exceptional. Simple in style but a real feel of luxe. Reception foyer was really nice to arrive in. Staff happy to book transport, print out etc for me. Room was beautifully arranged with enough surfaces and lights. Spotlessly clean, incredibly simple in its design, and yet intuitive/easy to function in the room…everything you could want from lighting to movable bathroom wall, lots of natural sunlight, two types of blinds, two different types of mattresses on the bed (so very comfortable that I planned deliberate sleep in both mornings). In-room breakfast of granola… generous portions of fruit. Shower was hot, loved the eco-friendly nature of the place. And of course the location… across the road from the ferries, waterside walks and viaduct eateries etc. Loved the automatic late check out when I made the online booking.

Everything from the staff to the facilities were amazing. The staff especially. We stayed on the 2nd of August and we just had to book an extra night. We booked the deluxe king with the spa bath and let me tell you, it was totally worth it! The lady at reception on the 2nd was so patient with all the questions I was asking. Highly recommend and will definitely be back for more!!

The flat is very large, clean and comfortable. The Indian concierge, perhaps Ranish, the more firm one, was extremely friendly and helpful. If I had an employee like that, I would reward him with a raise.

The purpose of our trip was to visit new (6 month old) grandaughter. Not being to familiar with our way around I found driving to be a bit of a challenge. Therefore it was not a holiday destination in the traditional sense.

Lovely little town with quite a few shops an lots of good spots to eat. The little gelato shop at the top of the hill is great and Oyster Inn a highlight. the island grocery shop has great bread and other food as well as coffee and some take away items.

Originally not knowing what to expect, curiosity caused us to stop off for a coffee break, whilst travelling up to Cape Reinga. We were so impressed that we booked a night's stay on our return journey, Such is he layout of this unique township, bordering the south bank of the Mahurangi River. With buildings that date back to the late 1800's through to modern, It is very easy to walk around, there are many cafe's and restaurants scattered amongst a broad range of local businesses including craft, clothing, and a number of Boutiques selling many varied products. If you are looking for a place to get away from the hustle and bustle of life and just relax in an unique Village/Township. We can easily recommend Warkworth NZ,

Probably not a popular destination compared to others on the island,suited us though. Good range of shops. The Woolworths supermarket was a bonus as far as buying groceries for the motel room. The RSA is a friendly destination, and provided takeaway meals for the weary traveller to take back to their motel. Some nice fashion shops worth a look too. A minor hassle was the amount of road noise heard in the motel room (probably sounded louder with the motel being situated uphill a short distance from the road). Not a problem at night.

Sensational location on the cliff.

Sensational location on the cliff. Everything very clean and all necessary things sufficiently available. The beds are good, very nicely furnished. Thanks to the host for the helpful tips. We were there at the beginning of April and it was not hot. In real summer it can heat up a lot as there are many windows. There is a mobile cooling unit in the living room (with a hose to the outside when the window is open. In the bedrooms only fan. We would stay there again outside the hot season.

Albany choosen for its location. 2 Brm apartment, clean, spacious and enjoyed the 2 bathrooms. Staff fantastic, friendly and helpful. We mostly came from Australia to celebrate a sisters big 80th birthday dinner held at Campbell Bay. Location perfect. Apartments big enough for us all to gather and comfortably sit around eat chat when needed.

I used Snells Beach as a base for birdwatching in the area, including a boat trip to Kawau Island from Sandspit (10 mins drive away) and visits to Tawharanui Regional Park (30 mins drive away). It was perfectly placed for those, and I would recommend it to anyone making similar plans.

It was a memory lane visit for me, as I had lived in Awhitu when young. Lovely Art Collective at Pollok. Historic church and school in Awhitu central and rolling farmlands. Waiuku has amongst others, two lovely cafes which we visited - Karma in particular in Bowen St. Close to Pukekohe and Bombay where we were going on a two-day Garden Ramble.
